The second "Be" I found was in Exodus 19:5...Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed,
and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth
is mine.
When I clean up my house, I separate the trash from the treasure. Anything that is no longer useful
to me is therefore trash and I will throw it away. Anything that is still useful to me, I call it treasure.
It could be something simple as a screw I find on the floor. I will put it away so I can use it later on.
So treasure is something that has value to it. Anything that has value to it is worth keeping.
The only way that we can have value in our lives is to obey the voice of God. Jesus said in
John10:27-28...My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them
eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
He also said in Matthew 4:4...It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that
proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
What is the difference between a man who obeys God and one who does not obeys him?
Deuteronomy 11:27-28 reads, A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God,
which I command you this day: And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD
your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which
ye have not known.
In Matthew 13:41-42, Jesus said, The Son of man shall send forth angels, and they shall gather out
of his kingdom all things that offend, and them that do iniquity; and cast them into a furnace of fire:
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
in other words, Jesus is going to clean house. He will keep the treasure and throw away the trash.
If you want to be his treasure, simply obey the voice of Jesus. He is telling you to repent and be baptize
in his name. He is telling you to live holy and clean.
Question is, Are we going to be all that we can be?
As the old hymn goes...Trust and obey, For there is no other way, To be happy in Jesus, But to
trust and obey.
