It's not that your assessment is wrong, it's that to dig at the root problem is too painful for most because they have to admit that what they thought about the what the root cause is wrong.

I am fully aware that society relative to civil rights for black Americans was abysmal 50+ yrs ago, BUT the structure of the family unit was FAR greater intact.. THIS, more than ANY other problem, is the root cause of the stats you cited.

So we have to dig deeper, and more painful, to ask what happened to decimate the black family unit. And yes I am speaking in generalities, but the numbers don't lie. At least 75% of black children are born out of wedlock today. A staggering historic number.

The truth of the matter lies with politics, and specifically the Democrat party. Somehow civil rights, which were desperately in need of an overhaul, got mixed in with The Great Society programs, to be almost synonamous.

Democrats realized that by manipulating the black family structure, by offering "free stuff", be it, food stamps, free housing, welfare stipends, medicaid, etc.. etc.., THEN enacting laws that said if a mother has children out of wedlock they would get MORE benefits and married families would get less, AND the more out of wedlock children the MORE benefits, that blacks would always vote for them.

Then they further REFUSED to allow school choice, in essence trapping generations in failed inner city schools.

This formula has worked remarkably well as over 90% of blacks have reliably voted Democrat for over 40 yrs, EVEN though they see how EXCLUSIVELY Democrat Mayors and councilman have utterly destroyed the very cities they live in.

Democrats have also been incredibly successful in indoctrinating EVERYONE with an educational system that glorifies this entitlement culture, not just for blacks, but for everybody, under the guise "caring" more.

Couple all this with a media conglomerate that is over 90% Democrat registered or left affiliated, and you can see why no matter what facet of American life you look at, morals, economy, entertainment, and so on, we all FEEL the country decliningworse and worse each passing day.

And let's not let the Republicans off the hook. With a scant victory here and there they have done NOTHING to stop this agenda, more concerned with their own political and economic well-being.

This all by the way, explains the phenomenoum of how a reality game show host, billinaire narcissist, is what many people believe is the country's last hope of stopping the evils of leftism.
Yes...you're right.

Are you willing to think on that a little?

You used the expression "passed through." I don't know what you do, but in the years I did work with the people caught in this legal system of ours, I saw at least 4,000 individuals who usually spent at least three or four months with me on a weekly basis. In actuality, there is not a heck of a lot of difference between you and me, and those people. There really isn't, as much as we would love to swear there is.
There is one important difference between them and me. I will not rob, cheat, steal, rape, or kill to get what I want.

Well, it does simply boil down to making a choice, this particular election, between two paths. One, to continue on as we are now doing... basically losing more and more, and failing. Or to chance it, and see if a man who really has built a substantial part of this country, and knows how to operate an organization in the black, can do the same if the company he is working to expand and grow is called America.

As I said, we want to swear we are different. (There are things we might do that they would never do.)
I've lived the desperation. I still didn't. Mustard seed faith yet God stopped me.

From experience, I know I cannot kill anyone even to save myself. I cannot rob even when I'm living on popcorn and pressed-ham sandwiches. I can turn a Saturn into home, because I will not steal from someone else. I will clean the house of a guy trying to buy me to be his wife and take care of his kids. I will clean dog kennels to get enough money to go home. I will elbow the creep behind me for patting my butt, but I will not kill him. I will use my fist or knee to stop men from raping me, but I will offer my neck freely when they aim an axe and then a baseball bat at it to kill me. I will try to knock them down the steps, but I will not reach for that axe knowing I might have to use it. I knew the price of a shower at a truck stop and where to hide in the park so cops won't make us move. (I did not ever have to find out if my hiding spot would work.) I will spend months trying to find a legal way to get a skin graft rather than sue or cheat the system for it.

I'm not your average middle-class American. (I have been middle-class.) I've been that desperate and still could not. God has leashed me away from that.

How to keep a business in the black -- declare bankruptcy whenever possible.

I'm really not into declaring bankruptcy, but we might have to no matter which way we go.

How do you get so many people to identify with the same group?

How do you get them to identify with 'we' and 'us'?

When a black guy gets pulled over or arrested how do people think 'we' were pulled over? 'We' were arrested? They are killing 'us'?

I don't think that way. Someone who was breaking the law got pulled over. Someone who was breaking the law got arrested. Someone who was breaking the law got killed. Not 'us'.

In the same way that I can't categorize a person because of a single trait I really don't understand how people can categorize their own self because of a single trait.

Unless that single trait is being an American and living in the USA. Then I can understand when people say 'they' hate 'us'. Well, I can pretty much see why. We even hate each other.

Did Trump file bankruptcy "whenever possible?"

The answer is "He didn't." Trump himself has never filed for bankruptcy. His corporations have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy four times. By filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the corporation is allowed to continue running while restructuring and reducing its debt.

Trump is 70 years old. That would be about 50 years of developing corporations. That would mean he restructured corporations under chapter 11 about every 12 and a half years, or so. Interesting when you don't run with tales, but actually look at facts.

Next, I think I will go look up how many corporations we are talking about in those five decades......

A. So he plans to "restructure" the US? Interesting.

B. When are you going with facts? So far what I've seen is somehow Trump has something to do with BLM and we should all just give him a chance.

Had I known this was your way to talk about Trump on page one, I wouldn't have bothered. Got enough Trump sound bites going on the News Forum already. And, at least they actually tell why they want Trump. (Well, most of them anyway.) So far I got you think of him as a loud-mouth.

Bait-and-Switch really doesn't ever win me.

He has already very openly and plainly stated that is 100% of his intention. He said he will restructure almost all government agencies and policies. And I think that is absolutely marvelous for our country.

"But, he will cost people jobs." the cry goes up. Damn straight! All those thousands of people on government payrolls, studying the mating habitat and habits of the blind, striped Mongolian mole in the Arizona desert , or some such other nonsense, will be out of jobs, and actually have to go to work for a living.

The educational system will be restructured. The billions given out to people unnecessarily on Welfare, too. And, of course ObamaCare.... VASTLY RESTRUCTURED. And, hopefully, dozens and dozens of other government programs. One big one: Illegal Immigration.

So, if Trump intends to try and make things better, do you have so much hatred for the man that you would not also try to hope for some "restructuring" of our staggering racial and crime problems with his leadership?

You would cut off your nose to spite your face?

Just what do you think I would see as a fix to our racial problems? Electing Hillary to get yet another four years of the same things we have now?

Yup. This is supposed to be a "Christian" web site composed of adherents of the Prince of Peace who said to love everyone. But ever since I came into this forum, just about every political comment made by the majority of the right wingers here has been filled with hatred towards Democrats, liberals, and towards minorities.

WWJD ?

Pot/Kettle.... let's leave the partisan politics out of this, ok?
