I have been part of the BringChange2Mind.org group for about two years now. It is an organization that has walks and events all over the country to help fight the stigma and, sadly, cringes and weird looks people like me get when we bring up the term "mental illness". I'm inviting everyone to take their pledge Bring Change 2 Mind | Take the Bring Change 2 Mind Pledge
It doesn't cost anything, but a more aware sense of what it's like to live with, or witness someone who lives with, mental 'illness'.

The John Mayer's song "Say" really resinates with me, I feel like I am a one woman army (even though the song says man, ahha) But, at times I find myself having to make excuses for my PTSD, Anxiety,Depression, OCD tendencies. Sometimes I feel like I'm better off saying "oh it's just a little crowded in here" or "oh, man, it's like way hot do you feel hot?" to cover up my social anxiety, being around strange men. Fighting back flashbacks that sometimes doesn't work. It can be so hard to even get out of bed some days... to face the day.
