yes thanks, and me too. my wife takes hundreds of pictures of flowers every week - and hers are gorgeous. with her permission maybe i can share some :)
i only hope she rubs off on me a little with my insect pics.

she found this moth today, and pointed me to it - she said 'feed it to the cat if he gets uppity' haha! well the moth survived and the cat purrs anyway, so there is a happy ending.

everyone say "thanks Clover" (thanks, Clover!)

this is the stamens of a shrub that's a type of "fothergilla" -- its flowers smell like licorice!

We've had flowers here for a while, but yesterday was the first day I could remove my jacket for a little while.

they are really beautiful! - i'm looking forward to them coming back to the yard again this summer. they hover around the flowers just like a hummingbird does.

i got some close-ups of the same moth last year:

she says to make sure you know that whenever worries and stress in the world get her down, God gives her comfort and peace in the small, simple, beautiful things in His earth - and that's what the pictures are a result of. she hopes they can help someone else find tranquility in God's beauty too :)

this is another of my wife's photographs, from 3 days ago; a tulip poplar that just came into bloom in the last few weeks.

we both went to college studying art, but she has a sense of light that i can't match, in more than one sense of the word :)
thank God that gave me a good wife!

the honeybees are back! :)

they are very busy bees, and don't sit still like the larger carpenter bees do. if i'm able to get some better pictures later i'll share, but yesterday i was able to get at least one image in our apple blossoms of this little working girl:

today i had a nice little chat & adventure with a jumping spider. after she stopped hopping right onto the lens of my camera (!!!) i got this amazing photo --

IMG_0875_02.jpg

she's less than 1/8" long. tiny thing! there is so much beauty and wonder in God's creation right under our noses. He takes care of these smallest things ( i watched her catch & eat an inchworm -- will spare you those pictures haha ) - how much more He cares for us!
