I like movies that make a point, inspire you, or get you thinking in some way. It took me ages to figure out that this was what caught my attention - I can't seem to stick to a genre and I was starting to think it meant I had no personality. For example, I loved Happy Feet, partly because of the music but mostly because of Mumble's whole journey about being different, having purpose and becoming a leader. But then I also loved De Ja Vu, because it gets you thinking about choices and destinies (and the action was pretty cool too). Then again I really love the old Sappy stuff like Little Women and Old Love stories like Prelude to a Kiss. Both are about people and their sense of self and inner strength. I love (most) sci-fi too, there's plenty of inspirational stuff in those, and the creative ideas in the stories are just a lot of fun.
