I've sat here read thread after thread of Christians disagreeing with one another on nearly every issue. Sure, they'll agree on plenty of things, but I guarantee there'll be something they'll disagree on.

I generally don't mind disagreement with one another, after all, no two people on the planet agree on every issue. We can normally just agree to disagree and move on. But the problem here is that most of the time when Christians disagree, each one believes their stance to be the gospel truth, and they'll defend it as if anyone who disagrees with their stance is headed for hell.

This is ridiculous! How are we supposed to know the truth if there are a million blasted interpretations of it among the people who are all supposed to be fighting for the same cause. I don't understand at all...

I think the biggest issue with this is, Pride...

Majority of the time issues are between two prideful people...

Sometimes they are between someone who is prideful and someone who is humble...

Very rarely are they between two humble people...

I am not saying I am immune to pride... To be honest I have one of the worst problems with pride... But I think people negate the fact that they are being controlled by pride... because they are talking on a biblical issue...

And since its a biblical issue they take the mindset of correct or not... And forget that pride still has a huge factor in the topic...

(Take in note I have done this first hand so I am not condemning the CC family, but more so talking out of experience...)

I am also guilty for the sin of pride. I can`t turn the other cheek, unless I do it prideful. Awful truth about myself.

Another reason for the disagreements is the way each church interprets the word of God.

We all agree that Jesus Christ is the truth. The problem we don`t understand is that the truth can not be held, it can only be expressed, reflected. We are like mirrors pointed to God and in order to reflect Him, we must loose the useless ballast (that mostly lies in pride, like T_Laurich said) and clean ourselves so that God can shine in us.

Sometimes one of us has our eyes opened to a sort of fashion of a church, and we want so much to let others know. It wasn't too many years ago that the fashion was hell and brimstone sort of preaching, for instance. When there was a backlash about that, those who spoke of God's love were "disagreeing". Yet, that fashion needed o be turned around.

Now the fashion is that God doesn't judge, God is only love.

So, whenever there is a fashionable teaching, and not pure scripture teaching, there is great upheaval and disagreement in the church.

You are wrong! Heathen!

It's really difficult to let go of the little things. I have three times today refused to respond to a post over a minor disagreement, but the effort it took to do so was considerable.

Does it look a fight (or war) within Christians or so called-Christians?

Here, sooner or later, many people get acquainted, and even known. Those who share similar views will approach as some may reject. Life, that real one we try to bypass and run from, is the same. There you have not right, not even a minute of time, to say WHAT YOU WROTE HERE, so I see this fight quite convenient for the conveying of YOUR IDEAS, as well as mine (and other's).

John 14:26

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Acts 17:10-11 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
