For My Yoke Is Easy
And My Burden Is Light,

Like an oasis in a barren wind blown desert, God calls
to us so we can not only rest from the rigors of a daily
life, but all of our worries and cares and woes. He so
readily opens Himself and lets us in where we can sit
and let our worldly life go and our spiritual life to come
in. It is like a beckoning call to us that He is the place
and this is the time. It's a call from Him for us to rest.
As in Sirach, He describes a place where fruit is ripe
and sweet and tasty and the flowers with glorious
heavenly scents, a place where we can just be with
Him. Of course that is a metaphor but it is in life a call
for us to stop being busy and start taking time for Him.
Many say I don't have time for prayer and relaxation.
I would say, grasp that time to be alone with God and
let something else in your schedule go.
