I ate a few apples tonight. That turned out to be somewhat of a fail. I have heard that people have gained a lot of weight from eating super fatty foods (not that you should really eat them anyway) after having their gallbladder removed. So I plan to give my diet a makeover in the mean time. I guess itslucky for me that i like chicken noodle soup and am a good cook as I prefer the real home made stuffs. Avocados are one of my weaknesses! I love them! Bananas are good. Though I am not a fan of peanut butter. Just ick.

How about Pasta? A great source of long term energy........... :) Long distance runners routinely pig out on Pasta the night before a big race............

I like Pasta........all kinds........and there are so many kinds to choose from..........I don't like meat in my sauce though........

Either regular sauce.........or a good herb butter to pour over the Pasta

Hello Sarah,

I hope you will be fully recovered soon. :)

I live in the UK, in Wales, on the top of a hill which overlooks a valley in which two other valleys meet: and where the rivers which forge them converge and make their way to the sea, eight miles away. The wooded hillside opposite is where my Father was born, and it's slopes take the eye forward and up the valley leading to the mining village where I was born. The chapel in the valley below the hill is where I was nurtured and brought up to know the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour.

Yes, the view from my window contain so many memories. It is a wide vista, and takes my eyes towards where my daughter lives on the way to the coast with her family, and in the other direction to the market town where my other daughter now lives with her son.

There is another vista, which lies within, and does not rely on sight, and as I get older it stretches and broadens, peopled with experiences and reasons to rejoice - Praise God!

You also have a vista like that Sarah, I know. Although not as long and broad as mine, it is also filled with reasons to be glad and to praise God, so we will praise Him together, in the sure knowledge that the work He has begun in us, He will continue to do, until the day of Jesus Christ, and then we will be with Him for eternity.

Thank you Lord, for such a wonderful hope of resurrection life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Love in Christ Jesus, Sarah,
Christine

Chicken soup - that's the answer, Sarah!

I have just made some.

Nourishing and heart-warming, and not hard on the stomach.

:)

Hi CWJ, I think Sarah said she has been sick, so she probably doesn't always feel like posting.

Blessings.

Hi Sarah; good to see you again. Yes, it is tasty; my wife and I often have soups - maybe the chunky variety - as an alternative to other meals.

Blessings.

I guess there is a calorie issue as well, which my wife seems to remain more aware of than I do... :)

Blessings.
Im going to go out on a limb and assume that most women tend to be more contentious about calories than men. Though thats not always the case.

Sarah: You may be right! :)

The way it works with us is that my soulmate is strict on herself with pasta calories, but she does not give me a hard time.

Blessings.

Thats a good thing! I firmly believe that if you really truly love someone you dont try to change them.

Oh we seem to acknowledge each other's personal space! :) (Even around the waist...)

I think, Sarah, by God's grace, acknowledging each other's personal space is all part of sound intelligence and trying to take a spiritually-minded attitude. Rather than doing the control-freak thing.

Blessings.
