Good morning, day and night, fellow descendants of Adam and Eve! ^___^ This thread will involve us using our creativity and critical-thinking skills in godly and worshipful ways.

We're going to try and come up with our own prayers, dedicated to whoever and whatever we want.

Will the prayers you make be dedicated to Jesus Christ, the virgin Mary, your family, the policemen next door, your pets?
The salvation of sinners? Peace in the world? Global healthcare for all? Gun control?
Start using your brains, people!

You can't? I'll provide some examples:
Prayer for salvation
Heavenly father, our king and Shepard, who has overcome the terrors of the world; help us grow in faith, love, and hope, so that we may be worthy vessels for our salvation and the salvation of others, amen.

Prayer for the church
Almighty Christ, our lord, protect your church against the fierce attacks of the devil. Have your church rise benevolently in the world. May it not be influenced by unholy sources, may it always bring honor to your name, amen.

The examples presented above are short. You may make your prayers fairly long if you want.

Family, because I think of them the most often

Society, because I try to pray for 1 country a day... And I am constantly thinking how the world reacts to God in a modern culture...

Religion, because I struggle with the terminology, and how's in Christianity...

Spiritual matters...

I find that my biggest prayer goes as follow's...

God please humble me... Humble my humility and let me die a humbled man and not a righteous one... God I also want wisdom, and father... Please give me love... Love for all people... And above all give me faith... I want God given faith.... I understand what I am praying for is a horrible life. To be honest it scares me more than anything... And when my prayers come true I normally hate you , but I want you to grant me this prayer again... God in my hands I turn my life into the Titanic, in your hands it is truly unsinkable... Please keep it unsinkable...

Also God, please forgive me for making this prayer more wordy and righteous then what I normally say... In my glorious saviors name Jesus Christ I pray...

Society- yeah. That crosses my mind as well.
Isn't being righteous a good thing? "Blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of righteous, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.

That's a strange prayer. I think the Titanic would be the wrong choice for quoting unsinkable ships..but I get what you mean.
