Yeah, they're both awesome. I'd be happy to learn either. But the Aikido looks so effortless. Hurt someone using their own momentum. You just go with it. And against groups too. Just looks awesome. But yeah, can't go wrong with either one for sure.

sooooo freaked out!!!!! he pulled up as i was walking home A DIFFERENT ROUTE!!! didnt say a word!!!! just drove slowly next to me staring at me i tried to just pay attention to my phone (I was texting my police friend at the time) but he just kept staring at me then all of a sudden sped off in a mad screeching sound. I told my friend and he said he would take care of it personally. super creeped out tho. prayers please...thank you
P.S please pray for my police friend. His name is Adam and he has been my biggest encourager, advisor and trainer (he is currently helping me learn how to fight and lose weight) but he needs prayer as he struggles with PTSD and depression. thank you

Thank you guys, I thought I had posted again...I had meant to tell everyone who has been praying for me and helping me through this.
Update: He is in jail, not only for violating the order but for PHYSICALLY harming another lady on the same night! Thankfully my friend Adam helped me tell the police and they caught him at his residence with a lady. I'm just so thankful for everyone keeping me safe.

Got a job (possibly 2) to be able to move away from my family, gonna start looking into college, I want to be an RN. I wanted to be a cop but I guess half blind people can't be cops LOL. My friend Adam is doing ok too learning to trust God again, he said my faith is helping him regain his cool!

The text messages and especially any internet connection should be enough to produce some result from the police. You don't need voice recording, and it sometimes even isn't admissible.
As far as the martial arts option goes, it will do you no good unless you are mentally prepared to absolutely devour your attacker, rather than play the "if they swing this way, I do this" game. Be prepared to gouge out eyes, crush windpipes, and bite faces, break lamps over heads and so on if you are defending yourself.
Foremost, pray that God will send His messenger before you, as I just did for you, to somehow bring it to this guy's mind that he'd best leave you alone.

Yes, I'm not letting this stop me. If anything this has made me stronger, more aware of my surroundings, though they have never been ideal I guess I always thought only my family was crummy. Not others. I always try to see the light in everyone...but now I realize...not everyone has Gods light in them, unfortunately. I am living with my grandma now and she is much...healthier for me than my parents. I'm also doing classes every wednesday with my friend and some people from the local PD, to train my body and mind to be able to handle things if something like this ever happens again. Think I will start another post about those classes and what I've learned, etc.

trying to anyway, got word tonight that he bailed out. like what the!!! so now i get to go gun shopping!! oh joy! Tazors are very effective as well, and effective when there is close contact.
We never know if we might hesitate to take a life, but zapping the daylights out of an attacker comes easyer.

Wow...i kinda thought tazers worked on everybody...hmmm...definitely changing my view now, either way I'm still going to look into a gun, just for safety. I hate feeling like I need it but I know I do, everything in me says prepare for it...which isn't good, but rather safe than sorry..i have changed my schedule from how it used to be too so no more "predictability" or "complacency"...

Yeah, also, tazers are also only used to temporarily incapacitate them. The recovery time is rather quick for many people. So you have to be able to subdue that person still, or run. Personally, if i'm going to incapacitate a person, i'd rather do it in such a manner that it will take longer than a few seconds for them to recover. And be more angry haha. A bullet anywhere between the feet and the waist will do a fine job of that.
