Are you waiting for the world to change?

or don't think that's possible?🤔

The world was created for me. I just have to conquer it.

The world is changing. Jesus told us He came to destroy the works of the devil and since His resurrection He has been doing exactly that. There are more Christians today than ever before. Work which was to be very arduous has become much easier. Advancements in technology allow for very tedious and time consuming jobs to be done with relative ease. Medical advances have brought about longer lives and less pain. Advances in transportation have allowed a once large world to seem like a global village. And things will continue to improve. I know sometimes it seems that things are dire and that the depravity of man censures God's blessings, but God is still in control and He is still doing His will in the armies of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth, and none shall stay His hand...
I know there are setbacks from the human perspective, but if all things are working towards our good, how can things be getting worse?

These verses may be prophetic about these times we are now living and may be contradictory to some opinions given on this thread.
KJV

Jeremiah 16:17 For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes. 18 And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things. 19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit. 20 Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?

Ezekiel 20:25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live; 26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD

Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible

Jeremiah 16:19 excerpt from Gill's...
The Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth; not the Jews, who were like to the Gentiles for their idolatries, and other wicked practices, and therefore so called, who should return from the several distant countries where they had been scattered, to their own land, and to the worship of God in it; but such who were really Gentiles, that should be converted, either at the time of the Babylonish captivity, and should come along with the Jews when they returned, and worship the Lord with them; or rather in Gospel times. And so Kimchi says this belongs to the times of the Messiah; when the Gospel was to be, and was preached among them, even to the ends of the earth; and many savingly came to Christ for righteousness and strength, for peace, pardon, salvation, and eternal life; and turned to him as to a strong hold, and fled to him for refuge, and laid hold on him, the hope set before them

David Kimhi (Hebrew: דוד קמחי, also Kimchi or Qimḥi) (1160–1235), also known by the Hebrew acronym as the RaDaK (רד"ק) (Rabbi David Kimhi), was a medieval rabbi, biblical commentator, philosopher, and grammarian.

.John Gill (November 23, 1697-October 14, 1771) was an English Baptist, a biblical scholar, and a staunch Calvinist. Gill's relationship with hyper-Calvinism

Yes, the Church, Body of Christ, will draw closer to Christ and the secular, carnal, world will continue going downward.

Most of the people I know are not waiting for the world to change. However they do seem to be waiting for their lives to change. They seem to believe when X happens, some big change in their lives, THAT will be when their lives really begin. So until that happens, they wait...

What change are we looking for in the world? For more people to become Christian and make it a better place to live? Or for more people to grow colder at heart as the end of time gets closer?

Not only the world will change through God but it is possible because of God.

It depends. When he Lord returns it will change dramatically. I'm not waiting for it to change until then, I'm waiting for His return. The world will go on like it always has, getting worse and worse.
