I am not that great at talking to strangers, but I try sometimes if I have an opportunity at a bus stop or park bench.

Mostly I give out tracts. Recently I gave out nearly 50 Gospel of John booklets with Romans-road type bookmarks in them at a big festival. The Lord God can use these and I always pray for the folks that get them. God has to ultimately do the saving but we can plant the seeds.

In the Christmas season I find it is a great time to give Christmas related tracts to checkout people.
Hi, Keris, It's great that you and others are in the public doing these things for Christ Jesus. City on Hill. And, It's great that you are reaching out searching for ideas from like minded Christians as well, but ~ Proverbs 3:5&6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (You and The Holy Spirit have Got!) Keep on Keeping on! ~ Always in Christ (rdm)
Tank you so much for your encouragement!
Yes, when we take the wonderful news of Jesus out into the streets, we connect with God's heart, because we realize how blessed we are to know Him and to have Him and we come to share God's heart for those who have never known His love and salvation in.their lives.
I am relieved that the times are over when Christians used to go out with a message of 'turn or burn'.
It is completely compatible to preach a loving God and to understand the dire consequences of godless living.
Talking to may very different people in the streets has drawn me closer to my Jesus and blessed me so much.
Evangelism can happen in so.many different ways, it's wonderful when our churches get out into tgeir neighbourhood and bless tgeur communities. ❤️

Operation christimas child is a fun ministry everyone can be involved in, its just putting gifts in a shoebox for a child and having it delivered for christmas...you CAN be santa and not just to your own children
pray over the boxes that they get to whoever will be blessed by them

Lots of things you can do over christmas season although once its over people tend to forget about goodwill and good deeds. However that is the spirit of Jesus, and most children want to believe there is someone good who is watching over them , if not Father God, then Father Christmas at least once a year

It does not have to be anything expensive either

The other one for children of prisoners is called Angel tree ministry

I think seizing every opportunity that presents itself to show Jesus' love & concern for people.
I heard of a lady who used to make little scrolls with a simple Gospel message on them & Bible verses, she tied them with bright red silk thread & left them on public seats, shop shelves, public buildings & buses & trains.
A singer from a local church sang in the centre of town - definitely a place for a good ol' thumping modern hymn.
Seeing someone, a situation or problem & praying about it (a young Baptist pastor urged the congregation to go out into lonely places & pray. The lonely places being the busiest - lonely in a crowd of non-believers. One with God being a majority.
Saying "May God bless you" instead of "Goodbye" or "Thank you".

In my country we call this 'Christmas in a shoebox' and just today our two primary aged boys were given the flyers at school!
Christmas is a wonderful opportunity to bless people with gifts, because most people are more wiing to receive gifts then.
May we have lots of ideas how we can bless folks this Christmas season! 🎅

Seeds stones are good, they are little pebbles painted with a scripture verse leaving anywhere for people to find and wouldnt get all rained on and wet like a gospel tract.

Some gospel tracts are good though, chick tracts are alright for young people, just comic book versions that are easy to follow. I dont know if you can still get them though.

One church group set up free hot lunch on the main street and were giving away boxes of food, one Sunday. This was after the floods when many people had to leave their homes.

you can leave christian books and Bibles in little free libraries. Pray that they will reach whoever will be blessed by them. Sometimes a christian book is better than a tract which can seem like someone is advertising their church, people are a bit wary of that approach. However, big road signs and billboards with inspiring scriptures are always encourgaing passers by.

Dont be like a politician and advertise a church with pastors photogenic faces and grinning white teeth in business suits. People dont trust that kind of advertising.

That's a brilliant idea, thanks.

Yes I have - going house to house. Though not street corner preaching (yet).
