Generally I like watching documentaries because they just provide information. I'm not expected to emotionally connect with some character or to decipher if and why something is funny. For the most part when I watch a movie, I spend more time trying to figure the movie out than I do watching it. It's pretty common that I need to watch a movie half a dozen times before I get good grasp of it in terms of plot, humor, characters. Do't even get me started on series shows - they move entirely too fast for me to follow.

I might rent one of the animated movies the next time I get by the rental place and see if I like it.

Rango with Johnny depp was hilarious, a fairly recent movie I actually liked and was good.
