The one thing that presses me deeper than anything is the choice:

The cross or the grave.

Both ways you die, but only one way will you be resurrected to life.

This pulls me from any hope I have in this life. In this life, nothing is worthy the time nor the effort. All the end of this life is vain.

I had the choice, and it was put before me by the Lord. What would I choose? The cross or the grave?

This is a heavy choice. If ever one had been between a rock and hard place, I was there.

Which one do you want? The cross or the grave?

May Jesus bless you.

The cross.

But I'm still learning to embrace the cross.

I have looked at the joy that was set before Him. And I learned to love deeper and forever.

I have looked at the fellowship of His suffering. And found the mightiest, the worthiest Captain. "O Captain, My Captain" - (title of American poem)

I am learning to die a little each day, and am glad of the days we've been given to learn, and the mercy, grace and counsel of God to teach us and bring us to completion. "He who has begun a good work in you will bring it to completion."

As you've sort of said yourself, where we are going to is joyful beyond human description.

God bless you.

Good comment.

Reminded me to focus on the "life" aspects of the cross, not the death.

If I'm not happy with it maybe I'm not seeing heaven well enough.
