Hello. I recently met a person that is from Egypt, and he follows the faith of Coptic Orthodox Christianity. I wanted to know what they believe in? Do they believe in Jesus Christ being the Savior, the one who died for us on the Cross? Why do they celebrate Easter a week later than what normal Christians do? I'm just curious on the views and traditions of Coptic Orthodox Christians? Is it the same Bible as the Standard King James version; meaning, do they take certain parts of the (King James or other normal versions such as international or youth, etc) Bible and tweak it differently like Jehova Witnesses? I hope this makes since. Thank you for your time, and I welcome any helpful insight in advance.
