Movie: The Lord of the Rings! :D Extended editions, of course. I cannot even watch the theatrical versions anymore, it feels like they've cut bits out.

TV show: South Park! The earlier seasons were a bit rubbish, but it's got loads better as it's gone along, as it's taken a more satyrical slant.

movie all time favorite would have to be Meet the Robinson, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Megamind and Ninja Assassin, Lord of the Rings is also a good one

TV shows would have to be supernatural and Avatar the Last Airbender/ the Legend of Korra

I love watch movie so I think that I will tell you the genre movie that I love, I love family, friendship, fantasy, funny movie and based on true story like Facing the Giant, Harry potter and the series, 1000 thousand words, persuit of happiness, ghost rider, step up and the series, High school musical and the series, all movie which staring by Jim Carey and I always see all of animation movie by Pixar and Disney production.
Action movie like mission impossible, 13 ocean, Sherlock Holmes, and the other movie.
I can't tell you more cause I forget and I like to collect movie teater ticket :D

--> the count of monte cristo (my all time favorite)
--> one night with the king
--> the pacific (a tv series, ww2)
--> braveheart
--> joan of arc

These are my favourite TV programs and movies that I can think of at the moment, I'm sure after I post this I will think of a few more:D.
Movies: Rise of the guardians, Avengers, Iron man, Easy A, Ten things I hate about you, Spiderman.
TV programs: White collar, Psych, Buffy, M.A.S.H, Sherlock, West Wing, Avatar: The last air bender, Firefly.

Ooh, Arsenic and Old Lace is brilliant! Battlestar Galactica is also very good (not the original 70's series though).
