Avid fishermen will know the term: Tree Bass. For everyone else......sometimes you try to cast your lure/bait under the low hanging branches of a tree in hopes of finding a Bass waiting there. And, if your like me, you generally end up casting your line right into the limbs........getting it caught. That's called catching a Tree Bass. It's funny when someone else is the one hung up, but not so much if it's you..........
One day, a few weeks ago, I was fishing and tossed out my line right in front of me. After a few minutes, I got a good strike/bite!
I waited until the second hit, and then jerked on the line to set the hook. I got hung up on something. First, I thought it was a turtle.
But then, when I pulled hard enough, it started coming in............As I lifted it out of the water, I could see it was a small branch with my line wrapped up in it. TREE BASS, I told my fishing buddy.
Then, to mu surprise, on CLOSER inspection........I REALLY DID have a fish on the line! Have to look close, but there is a wee Bream in the limbs......... too, too funny!
