guys bored again so this threads about games you liked but by others was generally poorly received. One big one that stands out for me is Duke Nuke Em Forever. So the problem with this game was development took 15 years and it was passed around by multiple companies so that's usually a death sentence for any game and giving it took 15 years hype was already passed realistic expectations. They could have made a near perfect game and it still would have gotten backlash. Being a big fan of the Duke in 90's I enjoyed this game I'd honestly take it over COD any day. It brought the Duke back in all his cheesy 90's glory and it made me laugh quite a bit. The gameplay was just like an old FPS from 90's which are honestly the only kind I like.

i never played Duke Nukem, ever -- but i used to be really into Return to Castle Wolfenstein, even playing semi-competitively in the multiplayer scene, running a clan & all that. it's very similar game engine.

I played Doom a lot but I've only seen Wolfenstien being played once as a kid. It's practically identical to Doom

i've started up GTA with the sole purpose of getting a plane and cruising in it.
getting a hold of the plane was probably a bit more involved than a flight sim, and the actual sim in GTA is am sure a lot more arcade-y and not very sophisticated compared to that :)
