Free will, a beloved superstition, is an important concept to Christians because it justifies God condemning them to Hell.
You cannot have free will or God cannot be omniscient.
You have to choose between an apple an an orange. So if this all-knowing God knows you are going to pick the apple but you choose the orange you have just negated Gods omniscience. If you are unable to pick the orange then you have negated free will.

Time is a physical property. God is eternal and lives outside of time. He can tell the end from the beginning and it does not negate mans freewill.

God is sovereign except in areas where he has chosen to relinquish his sovereignty, like human free will.

I think you need to consider this within the realm of God's Determinative and Permissive Wills ( DW and PW to save me typing!).

Using your apple and orange comparison, if it is God's DW that you choose an apple, by some means, you will. But, it may only be God's DW that you choose a piece of fruit, so with in PW either an apple or orange is just fine.

So say that someone knows that under God's DW, they are to go to California, for whatever reason. They hate California, Californians and Disney; there is no chance of their ever going to California!, and they move to Nigeria just to make a point to God that it is their free will not His which will be accomplished. Problem, is if God wanted them in California, for whatever reason, they may end up there on their death bed, but they will be there at some point.

We use freewill to justify what we are doing or what we want to do, completely forgetting that He is sovereign and He will get His way in the end with us - one way or another.

Of course, another question is if we can truly break our path or not, through the expression of our freewill. I wonder at this as I have seen someone whom came under tremendous judgement once, after an expression of their freewill. Their path certainly was terminated as almost was their life. It left their family and those whom knew them well to not only wonder but to have a great fear of God and His justice in this life.....

If you study the Bible, you will see evidence of both free will and predestination

There is no free will in justification. The new birth is NOT a choice, just as little as the natural birth is not a choice. God raises up the spiritually dead to life in Christ.
