The poms have Winnie and Paddington
and Americans have their Smokey
but only we in Australia have ridgey-didge true blue
original living teddy bears

Actually they are not as cute as they look.
They have sharp claws, piddle on you, and
are extremely snarly.
But the tourists love em.
And I have it on good authority they are not-a-bear. (Link is to a UK bear's blog. I do miss his blog updates.)

Biblical scholarship called "Bible Numerics" has been lost
over the decades of rising unbelief.
But in the late 1800s to the 1930s Ivan Panin and
John Bullinger wrote books and papers on the gematria
of the Hebrew and the Greek texts.

The modern arithmetic numbers we use today came to us from
India to Persia to the Arabs to the Crusaders.
thus today we use: 1, 2, 3, 9, 0 for math values.

But the children of Israel and Western cultures did not have
arithmetic numbers, but rather used letters of the alphabet.
So we are more familiar with the Latin use of letters for numbers:
I = 1; V = 5; X = 10; L = 50; C = 100; M = 1,000
Old public clocks have these letters denoting the time: XII = 12

God sealed his word in 66 books down to the very consonants and vowels,
words and verses. Numeric patterns validate words and doctrine.

Thus words such as Satan and Lucifer and Beelzebub, sin, rebellion,
wickedness have the value of 13 or multiples of 13.
The name of Jesus and his various titles, plus salvation come to 8
or multiples of 8.

And through gematria or Bible Numerics we also know that Mark 16:15-20
is true and God given.

You know Waggles I would love to talk to about this, I am terrible at math not near as much as I am in learning other languages but it isn't my strong suite but in my studies I found that numbers actually are very important in scripture and in bible prophecy as well. I studied numerology for a while and had use a calculator to calculate the numbers. I'm not just talking about the common numbers 333 and 7 and 12 and 40 I mean I went way deep and found how God uses numbers as a language of itself like a number is a word itself and only one who studied numerology could understand what it was.

But some people think numerology is an entire religion and highly frown upon it but I have to say had I not been so passionate in my studies I never would have found out about it and whether people think it's nonsense or not I enjoy it and trust me you normally cannot get me to have anything to do with math. My main issue is finding the real meaning of numbers, online isn't a great way to find out because I have seen at least 4 different meanings just for simple numbers like 9, the next one I am wanting to figure out is 18 but numbers that are not used much in the bible are difficult to understand

Much solid Biblical scholarship has gone the way of the Dodo.
There was a time when Christians wrote scholarly works on
the Bible, Hebrew and Greek, archeology, the Holy Spirit
and much more. The 1920s was the golden age.

In Canada there was a publishing house - Berean Publishers -
that published the works of Ivan Panin and others.
But I don't think they are in business anymore.
You could try Covenant Publishers in the U.K.
or
The Association Of The Covenant People
Burnaby B.C. Canada
also at
Ferndale WA U.S.A.

I have many other booklets on Bible Numerics but
they would be out of print these days.

just do your homework as The Holy Spirit leads you, and all will come together
as our Saviour desires...

but, here is where generational patterns come into play: learn to become the
person that Jesus desires you to be and don't hold onto the world's ways that
you were taught as a child - it takes great courage to obey and have the guts
to go into God's real world and His reality...Read-Search-Obey, Adhere, to
Christ's Ways, and not mans...

The number nine - 9 - in scripture

Judgment, finality, completion
nine fruit of the Holy Spirit
nine gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Church

18 would be 9x2 thus reemphasising the value of
what nine is about.

citing Bulling here p235 ...
"The number nine is a most remarkable number in many respects.
It is held in great reverence by all who study the occult sciences:
and in mathematical science it possesses properties and powers
which are found in no other number."

[did you know that the quotient of any addition/multiplication of
nine will always add up to nine?
2x9 = 18: 1+8 = 9
2x9 = 27: 2+7 = 9
4x9 = 45; 4+5 = 9
7x9 = 63: 6+3 = 9
and so on; amazing]

"It is the last of the digits, and thus marks the end; and is significant
of the conclusion of a matter."

"The Number Of Finality Or Judgment
for judgment is committed unto Jesus as 'the Son of man.'
It marks the completeness, the end and issue of all things
as to man - the judgment of man and all his works.
[the Son of man] has a factor of 666 which is 9 x 74 "

Now that's an interesting juxtaposition against the beast in
Revelation. For it is the number of a man.

"The Sieges Of Jerusalem
have been 27 in number, or three times nine, and they are
stamped with the number of Divine completeness (3) and
the number of judgment (9)." p236

As we all know the destruction of the first and second temples
in Jerusalem both occurred in the Jewish calendar on the same day
the 9th of Av
The First Temple was also destroyed on the 9th of Av (423 BC)
The Second Holy Temple stood in Jerusalem for 420 years (349 BCE–70AD)
and was torched on the 9th of Av by the Romans.

Not really.
Our pastors preach this stuff a lot in our Fellowship.
Bible study, Bible prophecy, archeology, British Israel,
the lost 10 tribes of Israel, end times ...
we really are spoiled.

I just read books and give the occasional talk.
But I do have a good library of over 300 books mainly purchased
through second hand charity shops and 2nd hand book stores.

The very best studies tend to be the 1920s and the 1960s.
Both periods coincide with amazing Pentecostal revivals.

Because a five-year-old boy renamed his bear. Five-year-olds like words like pooh. Pooh is fun to say. Grownups don't yell at you for saying it. And they don't yell at you for saying the name of the seventh planet from the sun either.

One of my bears is Teddy T. Bear. Some days it stands for Teddy and other days it stands for The. "He" just can't decide.
Mine is called Mr. Bear and yes he deserves so much respect that I dont even remember his first name:p. He has his nose missing thanks to me chewing on it as a kid...and no, there is no correlation between him and Stephanies stuffed bear on full house, but he was my best buddy of the stuffed variety and I couldn't sleep or leave the house without him
