Yep! And I mean, doesn't the second amendment CALL for a "well regulated militia"? But I guess everyone things that the government is only capable of regulating something effectively.
"Well-regulated" is old timey speak for "well-furnished."

Desdichado is from the book Ivanhoe. A mysterious knight returns from the crusades and assumes the title because Scott thought it was Spanish for "disinherited" (it actually means "unfortunate").

No personal significance really. I just think it sounds super cool. That and I've always liked the name "Des" and think it is cool when people call me that on here for short.

the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.".

Whatever it means "well regulated" it don't mean gun control

My brother says single action revolvers are girly because, according to him, girls ain't capable of squeezing the trigger on a double action. He's such a male chauvinist:p

From what I hear from Germans that I know,Germans have strict everything laws. With the exception of drinking. Seriously, though, the way those people complain makes Germany sound like a relative purgatory. No offense to any good Germans out there, of course. :p

I would Bombard y'all with pictures, but I haven't found a way to do that on mobile yet? Or maybe I'm just having a Granny moment.
that not right lol we have some of the most chilled out laws here. Girls can get birth controll for free starting at the age of 14 without needing the parents to know, drinking beer, wine and champagne at 16, you can get a scooter drivers licence at 15,... Theyre only dumb when it comes to guns and self defence. The US has waaaay more hidious laws than us here (sorry)

You can get birth control there so young and without a parents consent because they WANT to keep the population in check, as with all socialist governments.
And it wasn't just the laws they complained about, it was actually more of the life there in general.

You know you can legally get a silencer here ..if you can prove its to kill hogs?
My grandfather, two uncles, and dad went hunting for deer every year. They bagged one once.

How does one prove it's to kill hogs unless you can get it and then actually kill the hog?

I refuse to eat any male wild game. It's simply too gamey for me. For deer, elk, antelope, and others, I try for 2-3 year old dry females. Easy to get the tags for them, and it's easy meat in the freezer.
Bunnies and squirrels! I've never had them taste gamey. Also doesn't get easier to fit in the freezer. (Oh, wait! Quail fits easier. lol)

Up here our deer are basically grain fed, and if you trim off every teeny weeny bit of fatty stuff (for steaks, we even trim off the sheen-type fat), it tastes amazing. We've even had avowed venison-haters ask us if it was beef!
Didn't help me. I won't eat beef either. (I've had some bad venison, so can't imagine ever eating it again. The last venison we had ended up in the backyard one Christmas Eve. In all fairness, it might have been caused by sugar overload, because hubby was a bit testy that day before the venison got too tough to eat.)

Thats bs. They do that because teenage pregnancy is rising and with that also the abortions and to stop that we got that. At least people get protection by the law. Better safe than sorry.

My mom says it's better; I'm not sure if she can actually tell the difference or just has that opinion because she doesn't like the store bought beef with all those icky hormones and stuff in it.
I also haven't eaten beef since before it became legal to add hormones in it. It wasn't a moral decision for us. It was an intestinal decision. Once the digestive system bulks enough time, the mouth finally believes it doesn't taste good. lol
