the reason you add milk is to cool it off so you can drink it right away... right?
Hi mum! I suppose so. I thought it was more take away some of the natural bitterness of the coffee. My brother has a Brazilian girlfriend and she bought some Brazilian coffee for us. I'm more of tea drinker, but this coffee is quality! I add a teaspoon of sugar and don't bother to add milk and it tastes great.

Brazilian peaberry? cos that's great coffee!

i agree, some milk cuts the bitterness. still, something about leading a horse to water or teaching old dogs  haha!

do you add anything to tea? i do add milk to tea. :)
(and if you check our obesity rate, pretty sure Americans add lotsa cream and sugar.)

I feel less of a man cause I use the flavored creamer. I like it light and sweet!

I use flavored liquid creamer, too. Usually chocolate caramel, or peppermint mocha if it's around the holidays cuz that's the only time they make the peppermint mocha one. :)

Yes, it is great coffee! Also, I made a mistake. My brother's fiance (no longer girlfriend) is Brazilian. Oops. Do I add anything to tea? It depends on the tea. I don't drink green tea unless I absolutely have to. If I have black tea I add one sugar and some milk. But I much prefer the herbal/spiced teas and almond or licorice teas. And those, I definitely drink plain (without milk and sugar).

Good stuff! Thanks! I'll let my brother know. As for Brazil, I can see the appeal. I don't know about personalities and character, but there seem to be a lot of lovely ladies there. Personally, if ever I find someone, I'm going for an Aussie (someone who's lived here for some years).

So you're telling me Americans don't add milk to their coffee?
Hubby would rather drink it black than add milk, but he's really going for the Half N Half.

But some of my in-laws are so big into milk in hot beverages they even put it in hot tea, (which I think is bizarre, and I am bizarre, so...)

Hubby is a coffee snob. (A polite one, so it's not he snubs his nose at Maxwell House drinkers. He just isn't interested in coffee at that moment, if that's what they're offering.) He has at least two kinds for morning-coffee and two kinds for after-dinner coffee at all times, but if he sees a type he likes on sale, he'll pick that up to.

I aim to have my Christmas shopping done before the end of November, simply because I hate the crowds, so I already bought the coffees he wanted for Christmas.

If I didn't know one-fourth of my freezer and two-thirds of a shelf in the refrigerator were already holding all his coffees for when he comes home, I'd buy him Brazilian peaberry just on your sayso. lol

I'd be checking to see if creamer can go in the freezer then. (I also have cranberries in the freezer because we miss cranberry sauce in the summertime. lol)

Half N Half? What's that? Half a cup of coffee with water and half a cup of milk?

lol, srsly?

it's half milk, half cream :)
Oh. Yes, I'm serious. We just have low fat or full cream milk or skim milk in Australia. Of course, we also have rice, soy and almond milk - but they're not really milk are they? They're more juice of a grain or a legume or a nut.
