otherwise on email just cc the people who need to know stuff. You can email more than one person at a time.
work we have a shared drive so theres pics on that cos we on the same network. Some workplaces have intranet so only workmates can see.
facebook is not actually private even when you change your own settings to private. If one person wants to share what you posted to someone else on fb, who you are not friends with, they can, so all your attempts at privacy will come to naught.

what happens is when ppl come over sometimes dig them out to show people
otherwise, some ppl still do the dreaded 'holiday letter' in which they write a letter saying everything theyve been up to in the past year, photocopy it, and send it out to everyone.
I never know what to reply to these types of letters.
Although its kinda semi interesting that someones had ten operarions and went on six holidays, bought a new house or whatever. I find most people dont have time for this type of correspondence anymore.

I read a book called MM personal
it was about Marilyn Monroe and the contents of her file cabinet
basically a lot of paper recording all her business transactions, receipts, correspondance, photos she sanpped on her camera, doodles etc.
It got made into a book for curious fans after her death, but shed already written her autobiography/memoir which I think was published before she died called My Story
I am not at a stage where I want to tell or share my life story though, but in book format its easier for people to read it. Then maybe later it can be turned into a movie.

that is why facebook was popular, becuase it was basically an electronic year book people could write comments in. Originally it didnt even have photos, except for your profile pic. I remember when it was just a place to write stuff you liked and people played farmville on it.
