I speak very bluntly about anything I am asked about, but I don't naturally reveal much of myself, especially in person. When I was younger, I suppose I was a bit shy, but as I've gotten older I don't really uncomfortable at all around others. Stoic and introverted, generally task based. At 16personalities.com I scored 68% for thinking over feeling.

Overall, I'd say I'm quite transparent in y responses, but I'm not very easy to get to know. Perhaps others here would be interested in taking said personality test and compare results.

Transparency (exposing your innermost self to others) is all well and good in theory, but because the Internet is open to the whole wide world, people should be extremely circumspect in talking about themselves and their personal lives. In the workplace it would be foolish to talk about yourself rather than the task at hand. And in any event actions speak louder than words.

Even in a church setting, it is very unwise to open up beyond the basics. Those who do so usually regret it. As to therapists and counselors, chances are that they are about as messed up as their *patients*, and there is no end to psychotherapy, since the solutions are always within the *patient* himself/herself.

Even with family and close friends, some things simply should not be disclosed or discussed (for the sake of privacy, safety, security, and peace of mind). There are very few people who can keep their mouths shut when that is the prudent thing to do.

However, when it comes to ideas, doctrines, or what is happening all around us (which is public knowledge) people should feel free to express themselves freely. We should always be looking for the truth (or pointing others to the truth), particularly Bible truth. Especially today, when almost all news sources are broadcasting fake news, lies, and propaganda. Anyone who trusts the TV networks today is either simply naive or foolish.

I couldn't have put it better myself.
