I disagree with just about everything you have posted here both theologically and biblically. The only reason God chose a particular people; Hebrews, to live forever in a particular land; Israel, is to bring salvation to the gentiles.
it's not the healthy that need a physician....Yeshuas words, Peace be with you, the darkness comprehends Him not

Two thoughts. First, Israel has always been occupied by God's People. A remnant never left. Second, I can leave my house for a while but it still remains my house. God gave the land of Israel to His people forever.

I don't know how it all will work. My personal belief is that the Israel is are no more apostate than the gentile church, yet YHWH knows what he is doing.
the land that became Israel was inhabited by the cannanites...or was it philistines, they fled the land when they heard the Hebrews where other way,

I am struggling with an issue that concerns me greatly. Perhaps someone here on CC can give me wise council.
Th nation of Israel is right now engaged in a struggle for existence. It is fighting a war against seven named enemies, all sworn to eliminate Israel from the face of the earth. They are totally surrounded on all sides and their back is pressed against the sea. The nations of the world actively support her enemies or, remain largely silent and disengaged. Our own nation, long the major supporter of Israel is at best lukewarm, wavering in our commitment and in many cases openly opposed to their survival.

Yet this is not the issue for me, we were forewarned this would happen.

What keeps me tossing at night is the near total silence and indifference of the Christian church. There are a precious few that have taken a stand on this issue, but for the most part there is silence. Rarely is this mentioned from the pulpit. No sermons, no organized activities, no counter voice to the constant deadly attacks by those supporting evil. I hear no demands on our faltering government to support Israel coming from Christs own Church. The silence is deafening. Are we repeating the history of pre-WWII Germany? While Israel stands alone fighting an evil whose goal is enslavement of the world, we are risk of doing just that. Can we sit quietly while God's people are at risk?

That's the thought that keeps me awake.

Seeker47,

At the beginning of the war, I was on Twitter night and day defending the Israelites. Most Christians' hearts bleed at what was done to them, but the more I posted, the more threatening comments I got from Muslims. There are so many of them, and the majority of Israelites don't even support the war. They just want their hostages back. not many Israelis have a Twitter account either. What was it again 1/3 of Israelis don't have internet; how can they defend themselves online? I saw many Christians in support of Israel, but in public in your church, we could be targeted for standing up for Israel. Christians aren't like Muslims. We won't kill anyone for saying words. Most Americans live within a couple miles of a mosque, and how many are extremists?

WW2 was a foreshadowing of the end times. God says, "Do not fear; I am with you." There will be trials, but those who endure will be crowned.

I guess we fundamentally disagree on God's purpose for forming national Israel.
