My wedding band, I lost it. I was swimming with my Daughter and had it in my bag. Later I remembered I put my rings in there and found my engagement ring but couldn't find my wedding band. I looked at the pools lost and found, wasn't there. Dug through my car, wasn't there. I was rummaging through the bag looking for my Daughters goggles. I'm not sure if it fell out then. I feel sick about it. I ordered a cheap band from Amazon for now, I hope eventually I find it. :(

Give a few days and check at the pool again. Sometimes it takes a little bit for lost things to be found. Maybe ask if they can call if they find it.

-- You will get a bruise on your forehead from SMH.
-- It will consume you for a few days.
-- It will feel like going shopping without a purse (a bit lopsided and feels like something is missing even before you figure out what you're missing.)
-- Some tears may be required.

This will happen for a few days to a couple of weeks.

And then you keep remembering "I got the guy. The ring isn't quite as important, because I still got the guy."

And then life goes on, and a part of you will always remember that lost ring.

Important part -- you will make it through this.

(I'm not kidding. I know the feeling of losing something that important.)

Ugly that's a good idea.

I know what you mean Depleted. I hope eventually it turns up. There's a lot of sentimental value to something like that.

Make sure you put your hope in the right place, so if it doesn't turn up you wont be disappointed.

Ask them to check the pool filter too just to be on the safe side.

Thank you, that's very kind. My Husband isn't mad at me, so I'm at peace about it. I think the worst part for me is that he worked several hard to buy a nice set of rings 18 years ago and I lost one, but he said, stuff happens, don't worry about it.

Thank you. I do too. I keep looking in the backseat of my car because after we finished swimming I was rummaging around in the bag looking for a dollar bill and moving the wet towels. I'm praying that maybe I'll dig it up in there.

But in all seriousness my lost ring seems like a silly thing to worry about compared to all the other problems in the world.

Sorry to hear that. My sister lost a diamond necklace her husband gave her on her wedding day. We were at a huge store and they were closing in minutes. She was in tears and my mother was consoling her.I knew it meant a lot to her.I just prayed the Lord would lead me to it. Everyone went looking in this huge store and I walked to the back praying. All of a sudden I stepped backward to think of where we had been in the store and I felt something hard under my shoe. I thought "no way!!" And sure enough there was the diamond!! I went running through the store yelling all the way.lol So I pray you find your ring.I know I would feel the same if I lost mine.:)

ps. I shared an empathetic story from experience is that ok with you bestbefore1973???

I think God cares about the small stuff too. Nothing wrong with asking :) Hope you find that ring.

Hubby lost his. It bothered me more than it bothered him. And the dumb part is it bothered me more because I thought he'd be really bothered by it. (Men! They make no sense. lol)

I solved any possibility of losing mine. I lost about 20 pounds after getting married, and the ring was too big, so I had it made smaller. If I ever get down to what I should weigh at my age, it's still 10-15 pounds heavier than I was back then. I can't, even if I try, remove my ring. They had to cover it with tape for surgery, because even doctors can't remove it.

It got a bit worrisome when I was 40 pounds heavier.

Fenner, i know how silly this sounds, but when i lose something (and i have lost my wedding ring)
i pray to the One Who knows where everything is... nothing is lost to Him.

man, i'm grieving a little with you. may the Lord return your ring to you, and i thank Him for your lovely husband and the peace you have.

ps-- i did find my ring! and we recently gave both of them to our third born. arthritic joints, you know, can't get them on anymore. that girl has amazing situational awareness. as i say, what's that?? :D

Thank you notmyown. I'm not giving up hope in finding it. My Husband doesn't wear his wedding band much because of his job, he's always worried he'll lose it. He wears it non working days. I guess we're still married ring or not, lol.
