I went into work today and part of the roof had collapsed in from the rain we had over the weekend. We had a large amount of flooding happen and a water main break. I said this job had run it's course and this happened over the weekend. Plus last week a coworker of mine that works in that area of the plant was talking with me. He was saying things about the Bible basically bad mouthing it. He said and I quote him "How can you have the flood wipe out everything on the earth and have Abraham go to Egypt with Sarah and there be people and a bustling city."

I told him simple God blessed Noahs children and they had many children and enough time went by to repopulate the Earth. I said the Bible clearly states it. He still doesn't believe. However, I take what happened as a sign from God. My prayer is getting answered God is removing me from that job and blessing me with a new one. Praise the Lord I see it coming together.
I am pleased to hear you have found another job.

My Job Signs:
1. I get a job. That means God wants me to have that job.
2. I lose the job, quit the job, or find a better job means God wants me out of my last job.

I've had some seriously crappy jobs in my life -- once literally. (I cleaned dog kennels. Doesn't get any crappier than that. lol) I've had a job that only last 2 weeks, (the boss was reminded by the janitor that he promised her my job a month before), and one that lasted 5 weeks. (I was hired as the Maintenance Manager, ended up being the bookkeeper, because the bookkeeper retired -- oh, and I had no bookkeeping skills at all -- the rental agent came in the next Monday crying hysterically as she wrote her resignation because she had literally spent the last 2.5 days doing nothing but showing apartments, and someone robbed the maintenance men's tools, so the boss fired the entire maintenance crew, before finding out a skinny thief broke thru a tiny vent. Which, BTW, left me all alone in the office having no clue how to do anything I was doing. lol) Even those jobs was God's will because I learned quickly what I would and wouldn't accept as a job.

Second, pipes break because they get old and then floods hit and they can't withstand the pressure. I live in Philly. Some of our water mains are pre Civil War. Made out of wood, no less. But we have thousand of miles of roads and only so many water department personal and so much money, so don't go blaming maintenance. Hubby helped save a building on a military base because he and his coworkers worked hard to fix a frozen pipe during our 31 inch blizzard in the 90's. That pipe was fine since right before World War 1. So, nope, not accepting it's poor skills of steamfitters or pipefitters.

Third, Abraham was 17 generations after the flood. Yes, the world was filled when he went to Egypt. Even the New World had people.

A sign from God is more a confirmation of something, not a flood. If a flood was always a job sign from God, then we'd be averaging a sign to get a new job once every 18 months in this house because a 100 year old house has very old pipes and doesn't have occupants that can afford $20,000+ to get a newer main pipe.

If you get hired for that new job? THAT's the sign! If you don't? That's a sign to keep looking because you don't like this one.

I realize that. However, it held up all that time until I really started having a bunch oof people pray over me getting a new job I had an interview for last week. Sure it's poor maintenance but the timing to it over my prayers and everyone else's for that matter could make it seem like God was trying to show me something.
We had a tornado blow along the street one block up from us. It destroyed a news stand on 4th Street, and then blew in the ceiling of hubby's ob at 22nd St. Hubby kept the job until the feds closed that base. Ceilings cave in.
