I didn't mean to ask you to share the reason, but I'm curious if you know what it is, or if it might be an illness.

I have had really bad insomnia and have barely slept for the last week, does anyone have any tips?
and its not because i'm depressed, I just cant seem to sleep.
yeah. its kinda chronic, based on my depression level.
I'm sorry to hear about your depression. I know what your going through. One place to start if you haven't already is at the beginning and end of the day. Read a chapter or two of God's Word. Then pray and spend time with.the Lord talking to Him. Have a reading plan like two OT chapters and two NT chapters. Use a pen to write in the margin of your Bible. When the Lord reminds me of another related passage, I'll put that other reference next to the verse. If there's a profound thought or definition in my KJ Bible, I write that too.

Go for walks, especially in the sun, even at school lunch breaks. The exercise helps the body properly metabolize stress hormones and D3 hormone is produced by the exposed skin to sunshine. They call it the "feel good hormone.". Eat eggs, sunny side up and beef livers. This provides the healthy cholesterol for the D3 and others that require it.

the common issues to look to are: too much caffeine, going to bed angry or disillusioned or any negative attitude, an unforgiving or vengeful spirit, cogitating on an unpleasant event, etc. ways to be sound asleep: go to bed on an empty stomach, read Bible passages before bed, make sure your mattress & pillows are comfortable, initiate a pleasant scent by candle or other source, review happy smiley thoughts before bedtime, retrain your mind to joyous cheerful thoughts, make sue everyone is forgiven, pray & praise the Lord for many things at bedtime, ponder on the great things Jesus has done for you. etc. blessings to you.

Does your depression have a reason? (if I may ask)
my current self does'nt know. u might have to ask my alter ego.
probably cus I was a porn addict, a nd turned away from my faith, because my life is messed up, my life feels like a lot of nothing right now, my past is forgiven, but I cant forgive myself. i dont want to kill myself anymore, but I want it to end.. if im not careful my other ego might seize control and i might do certain drugs. i cant.... im falling behind on my bible, i am basically letting my life die, ive been unable to see my friends in months, havent changed my clothes or showered in weeks or months, basically mu f*cking life is going to hell.
