Im thinking that God has something greater for you, like when Mary and Martha called for Jesus when their brother Lazarus was ill but by the time Jesus came he had died and was in the tomb. Well we all know what happened after that.

Many a time, we could just throw money at something but who gets the glory for that? Often its the rich person, not God. Let your giving be in secret so that God gets the glory.

So if what the majority of you are saying is true, then because I am set apart for a future, greater use:

1. If I receive a financial windfall I can keep it all for myself.

2. If someone is sick and hurting I don't need to speak words of healing and comfort to them.

3. If people are being driven out of their homes because of floods and freezing, I can keep our warm dry little fortress locked up and empty.

4 If someone is in error, I can keep quiet and let them flounder.

5. If satan wants to run rampant with my idle hands and lips, I can let him have at them.

Etc Etc Etc

Still would love to see some scripture on that.

On the flip side, If God thinks I'm so great that I have to be kept in reserve for a special purpose,

SHOULDN'T YOU PEOPLE LISTEN TO ME A LITTLE BETTER IN THE OTHER THREADS?

LOL!

Just to confirm I didn’t say that. I don’t think anyone else suggested that either.

Ricky you have got a big heart. I don’t know why but this has been in my
thoughts all day, probably because it applies to me as well!

God isn’t looking for superman or Wonder Woman. He isn’t looking for people
to go out and do things by their own strength.

He looks for the humble, the lowly, the weak. People who can honestly testify
“Not by my will, strength or power”. People who without a shadow of a doubt,
can look at and say “that’s God at work”.

Young David as a shepherd boy defeated the mighty Goliath in the name of the
Lord.

The walls of Jericho fell just at the sound of trumpets. In fact it was common place
for the worship team to be at the head of the battle.

The prophets were considere strange and other worldly.

Neman dipped in a filthy river 7 times.

Many many more such stories.

I’ve been getting a lot of words lately about the refining fire of God.
It’s not a nice place to be but it is a place of growth and learning to trust
in God, rather than oneself.

Being too independent is my down fall too.

If you went and did all the things you say you want to do, by whose strength,
power and provision would you be doing it under. Your own or God’s?
Many good deeds are done by people out of the goodness of their heart, but they do
not glorify God.

What would it take for you to go and do these things under God’s direction, strength,
will and power? Maybe that’s the answer to your question.

Maybe you are almost there and it’s just waiting for you to be stretched a little more.

You think in reserve and not it hasn’t happen yet for the purpose to be of use, that can be a reason too you know.

I do believe God has many batters in the dugout also waiting to swing like you, Just be patient one day at a time even if it’s 2000 days.

The purpose might take more patience than you have ever been able to muster up before in your whole life. good time to practice before hand I doubt you would want to fall head first in the mud straight out the gate would you?

I think this a good thread for anybody who thinks their waiting on the sidelines.

There is a example of such a person in scripture, night and day for 84 years for one purpose.

Anna was a prophetess. That means prior to her big event, she still had a ministry. Like John the Baptist, who I may have been told I was of the line of. Wandering the desert eating bugs until his one defining moment of baptizing the Christ. But even he had a ministry before the big event.

And yes I understand about doing things on my own vs doing them with God, but God told us to do that. Being generous should not require an act of God. Being compassionate should not require an act of God.

These things and more YOU will do, said Jesus.

Not, you will ask me if it's ok, but YOU will do.

Not go forth unless I leash you, but go forth.

Again, looking for scripture. No exemptions apply.

And advocates, thank you all so very much. That might be what this is all about.

Only one prophetic message is needed to be called a prophet or prophetess.

I gather your fighting it tooth and nail, 57 years long enough huh?

Three balls coming your way, need to get on base, the other teams pitcher has a mean curve ball and a wicked slider and a unforgiving sinker, and watch out for the fastball.

57 years is long enough. You can't train a Thoroughbred to run and then lock him in a stall, and expect not to get kicked.

Besides, every scripture saying 'it's not time' was prior to the release of the Holy Spirit and the command to go forth into the world. Post that event, some were told not to go to specific places, but none were told not to go at all.

FOUND IT!

“Put the Lord in remembrance of His promises, keep not silence” (Isaiah 62:6)

THAT is what this is all about.

And you can train a thoroughbred to run but only for breeding more thoroughbreds to win more races

No, there is the gift of prophecy and then there is the office of a prophet. They are two different things.

At this point I would take that. Actually that's what I desire. Isn't that the whole point, to bring more out of the wilderness and into the fold?
