is global warming real I kind of see some evidence my friend keeps telling me im uninformed

Global warming is real. It is called daytime. Global cooling is real. It is called nighttime.

Anyone who tells you that we can pump billions of gallons of toxic goo out of the ground, burn it, throw the emissions into the air, and repeat daily for over 100 years, without seriously screwing up our environment is mad - or a republican.

The climate of the earth is always in flux. The question is whether Man can and has altered it. My guess is no.

The reason they changed the term global warning to climate change is because its clear the earth is not warming ..its all a lie and a attempt to gain worldwide political power by the leftist

Greetings to all! My thesis (in masteral) was about alternative fuels (has bearing to the topic since it is believed to mitigate carbon footprints). I came across the panel of experts' report about they say the empirical evidence about it (i.e. stronger typhoons, droughts, melting ice in the north, etc.). However, I also watched some Sci shows about the earth's formation billions of years ago. It could be deduced that earth suffered a lot of "changes" from being "volcanic hot" all over (like Mars now) to ice age. Thus, what is currently happening now, earth has seen that before, and actually worst! We, humans, are just lucky now that we haven't experienced those "dinosaur" era of extinction. Thank God!

I thank God for that "goo" which has lifted millions out of poverty and has raised the standard of living for millions more. I pray that those who believe this hoax would understand that those behind it DO NOT have their best interests at heart, but instead want to control the freedom people enjoy because of the goo.

RickyZ.... I Tend to agree with your question....the underlying rationale for the environmental analysis that was never asked for only shows that everybody has an agenda...sadly...most of it having NOTHING to do with a closer walk with JESUS CHRIST.

Some people must not watch the news. As early as the 1980's the oil companies, while denying climate change, have confirmed it is real and have been making plans on how to capitalize on it... ie, how they are going to make money off of it. If you want to ignore science go ahead. If you want to ignore empirical data go ahead. But when Exxon Mobil says it's real and makes plans to get rich off it, you better believe that it's real!

First let me say that we MUST remember we are brothers in Christ, and we need to remember that if we are going to discuss worldly issues like global warming. I could very easily demonize those who aren't republicans as supporters of abortion, homosexual marriage, drug legalizers and so on... I don't think demeaning someone's political views bears any fruit though.

Try and imagine a world that never had fossil fuels, and the misery, short life span, lack of freedom and economic prosperity that would have occured. The blessing of fossil fuels touches virtually EVERY aspect of your humanly existence. Without it what you wear, what you eat, the transportation you use, the roads themselves, how you power and heat your house, the list goes on and on, would be either vastly worse or non-existent.

Understand, these people were telling us less than 10 yrs ago that catastrophic coastal flooding, where NYC, was going to be under water, was GOING to happen. Why doesn't that bother you? NASA, who gets it funding from the gov, and has a HUGE stake in promoting Global warming, couldn't hold back ALL the truth forever. New satellite images show Antarctica is actually growing You might think this would be great news for all those scientists who have been warning us over the last few years about the impending horrors of “man-made global warming” but in fact they are not happy about it, not one bit.
Here for example is Dr Jay Zwally, the lead author of this week’s surprising Nasa study that confirms that the Antarctic is gaining far more ice than it is losing.
“I know some of the climate deniers will jump on this and say this means we don’t have to worry as much as some people have been making out. It should not take away from the concern about climate warming.”

Rather it reminds me of the disappointment of Harold Camping, the notorious American evangelist who solemnly warned his listeners that the world was going to end on September 6, 1994.
When that didn’t happen he decided Judgment Day had been postponed to May 21, 2011, and subsequently to October 21 of the same year. Still the world survived and Camping (and the poor fools who believed him) was left with egg all over his face.
Just like all those climate doomsayers who have been making such a big deal of our supposedly disappearing polar ice caps. If the climate alarmists weren’t such a devious bunch I would almost feel sorry for them.

How much is know about HAARP? Is it false what they are using it for? I read that there was three different sites, to where they are located..to me in a triangle shape. One in Alaska, one in the Pacific ocean, one in the Atlantic ocean. I know that climate changes have been around way before HAARP has, but are they progressing climate change?

They changed it to climate change because global warming indicates things are only getting hotter. Truth is both hot and cold extremes are increasing, with the overall average going to hotter compared with historical averages. It is a natural cycle for all planets, but is being helped along by mankind's pollution for this swing. If you don't think so, go fire up your car, suck on the exhaust pipe for 10 minutes, then come tell me that it's not poisonous or harmful. If you can. I have seen a huge change of weather in 2 years, where I am at!

I imagine it would be a world in which we could breathe clean air, grow non-toxic food, and not watch untold species of sea life dying from plastic-choked oceans (to begin with). It would be a world in which you don't have to deal with population densities in the 10's of thousands per square mile, and it would forestall an economy based on corporate greed that puts profits before mankind's wellness. A world in which Polar bears don't have flame retardants in their fat. A world with a whole lot less pollution-born sickness and disease. Again, go suck on your tailpipe and then come tell me it's perfectly safe.
