I think as humans we are sometimes going to think things we shouldn't about the opposite sex, God knows this and understands, but you should still do your best not to think that way, it's impossible to be perfect, but God is just expecting you to do your best, doing things to make you think more this way is only going to make things worse

in other words all men are sometimes going to think lustful thoughts, it happens, but you shouldn't just give in and say oh well, you should just do the best you can to keep your mind clean. I know guys who are married and cant pass a woman without some comment, that bothers me, thats disrespectful to both her and their wife

Daniels prayer was against the law of Babylon. If his payer was not sin then sin cannot be the transgression of a legal law.
But he suffered from the sin. He was punished by government when it threw him into the lions den. But then God rescued Daniel because God allone stands above the local governments.

I said before that if you walk in the Holy Spirit you do care little about any law and about your own body. Then you do just what your Holy Spirit tells you to do.

For example:

[SUP]Acts 10:9 [/SUP]About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. [SUP]10 [/SUP]He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. [SUP]11 [/SUP]He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. [SUP]12 [/SUP]It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. [SUP]13 [/SUP]Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”
[SUP]14 [/SUP]“Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
[SUP]15 [/SUP]The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

But you are asserting the prayer was in fact sin?

That he was punished doesn't prove it was sin, as people can be unjustly punished for no reason.

And the vision in Acts was interpreted, usually one wouldn't take a vision literally, especially when its interpretation is made clear.

A prayer can never be sin, only an action can be sin! You are allowed to think and to speak everything, but you are not allowed to do everything!

It is not the question about just or unjust. The main point is the transgression of a law. That is punished.

Only the Holy Spirit and God know what is just and what is unjust.

To return to the topic:

Could there be sometime a voice saying about sex: “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”?

Yes, sex outside marriage can be evil for you. One who does it outside of marriage bring destruction upon himself. So, wait for yourself to get married or if you are married stay committed to your wife. Your wife owns your body and you own your wife body. Before marriage, God owns your body so never fall in this sin. Flee from it.

To people only alive in the flesh, who do not know God or God's ways, their minds distort sex into something it is not, they have no conception of sex.

God created sex almost as soon as the fall. God created a woman from man, they are part of each other. Then they became one through sex. For a person who listens to God, "becoming one" is not just a physical act but it requires becoming a unit in what they do. It includes respect for each other, love, a working together as a team.

Hollywood's idea of sex is not biblical sex at all. Hollywood sex has little to do with sex as God created it, and is not clean.

Hmm, forgot about this thread.

Anyway.

In that case sin isn't a transgression of mans law, as the prayer in Daniel was a transgression of mans law but not a sin. It must needs only be a transgression of Gods law.

What I do not like so much in your text is the folowing:
"But how many in this wicked selfish generation are willing to go without for any length of time, in order to achieve masturbation without lusting?"
It sounds a little bit like the pharisee saying to himself: "God, I thank you that I am not such a sinner as others" or the like, like:

The difference is what i said is a question to readers, not a prayer to God. You seem to think that i am special in some way, as you have stated, i would special if i was the only one who could do it. have i said that i am to do this through my own power or will, has that come out of my mouth? Anyone can do what i am able to do, because it is Jesus in me that helps me to do what i am able to do, if then Jesus is in you, He can help you as well, if He is in other, He can help them as well. How then do you think i am special, who made you think that i thought this of myself, it was not God.

Eh, well, as a Christian, it would be sex is okay as long as you are married, if not, then it is fornication.

I strongly agree. God is very clear about the sin of sexual immorality, fornication (sex before marriage) is highlighted among witchcraft and homosexuality. This is not an issue that is to be ignored!
