God gave this world to humans...

He gave us all free will and as we see, most people choose to exercise such free will to do evil... great, hideous evil in some cases (the baby killer in chief comes to mind)

God WILL BE in charge some day... But for reasons mysterious to us all, He has not intervened in any big, miraculous way to stop all the hideous evil... he didn't stop Hitler from murdering Jews and Catholic priests and anyone else who was against his socialist agenda

Sounds like open theism which is in serious error.

But thankfully God is in total control of all things that have happened, are happening and will happen. Nothing can happen unless God ordains it or allows it.

Your argument is untenable in light of scripture -

#The LORD has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all. (Psalm 103:19)

#so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust (Matthew 5:45)

In fact not even the smallest of particle could not exist or do what is supposed to without the constant upholding from God.

# in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together (Col 1:17).

# He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, (Hebrews 1:3).

And just a final note.. Christians have great hope in the promises found in scripture. God our good Father has indeed a purpose for us and he continually works all things for our good and His glory.

#And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28)

God WILL BE in charge some day...
i think you didn't mean it to be, but isn't that kind of a blasphemous statement?

do you believe we will also have free will in the resurrection?
if so what would prevent us from choosing to do evil?

what assumptions do you make when you think the presence of evil means God has no control over what's happening in this present age?

It’s sad to see that the obvious is again overlooked on a Christian website. We are the Body of Christ! We are God on Earth! This is why we are saved! We were bought, slaves to righteousness, with the blood of the Lamb. We are restored to the Almighty to serve Him. We are the hands, feet, and voice of God. If you see injustice, fight it! If you see children being hurt, protect them. We are conduits of His power, receiving direction through the Holy Spirit. Step up and step out of your comfort zones. Be generous, it’s God’s money. Be helpful, God gave you gifts to serve. Be kind, show compassion. Put others ahead, the last will be first. But before that, shut up and quit blaming God for your laziness. He died to unite us. He’s sharing His inheritance and all we can do is blame Him for our unwillingness to serve.
not sure if you're suggesting what i think you're suggesting, but i don't think we were saved in order to "police" and "fix" the world.

He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still:
and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
(Revelation 22:11)
God is the One who will judge all things and restore all things, not me
if the role of the Christian is to rule the world and enforce righteousness, then Revelation 22:11 would not exist.

absolutely, amen, we should walk right. but even if all of us who believe walked perfectly, the world would still be full of evil. even if we took worldly power to reign over those who do hate God, and forced them to pretend they weren't evil and always do good outwardly, sin is in the heart. God determined this should be so, until that day of His wrath comes. the apostolic movement vainly loves power and wants ultimately nothing more than to whitewash tombs.

in order for us to usurp secular dominion is not why He saved us.

No evil has happened or will ever happen without God allowing it to happen..

God is definitely in control of the world and the universe.. He has decided to be long suffering towards us because of His plan to Redeem His creation.. All the way along History God has been in control.. To say He is not in control is declaring God lacks the power to control.. If God lacked the Power of control of His creation then one would be justified in not believing He was the true God..
consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is Salvation
(2 Peter 3:15)
amen, His patience is mercy, giving us time to repent

Salt and light. That’s all I’m saying. Be a blessing. Love the unlovable. Feed the hungry. Take care of the sick. And yes, if you see injustice, protect the weak, especially the children.

this is a ridiculous thread. I would expect this from those who are atheists and trolls. God is always in control, yet he does expect His people to shine the light and proclaim the gospel. Bad things always happened to the people of God that is clearly seen. They fought battles and God gave them the victory over great numbers against them. God did that in WWI WWII and has always done so.

it is when we sin and do not seek God he has us fight the battle alone and we can see in scripture where God was not with HIS People because of sin. When they repented God helped them.

So if you are going through a battle and are losing trust in God repent and surrender to Him and you will be victorious.

Jesus is not a liar, He said I am with you always. in Greek, the word Always means ALWAYS.

God is always moving.

John 3
8: The wind blows where it wishes. You hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.
20: Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
21: But whoever practices the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen clearly that what he has done has been accomplished in God.

Isaiah 60
!: Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
2: For behold, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is over the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you, and His glory will appear over you.
