Currently living in Ontario, but I was in Calgary for five years and it sounds pretty much the same as what you experience :)
It has apparently snowed as early as August there. Calgary...it doesn't know what seasons are.
Last year here in Ontario the snow was pretty crazy. We had mountains of snow :D

When I was writing it I went and clicked the little reel video thingy and put it in, but it did not work...Oh well...:/
You didn't do anything wrong. 50/50 if you do it right and it works though.

(Or, if you're me, the odds get worse. lol)

This year we will need to make a path through our lawn to our chicken shack. This video has changed my life.

I thought we weren't allowed to use four letter words on this site.

(Two four letter words that are worse than all the curse words I've ever heard -- diet and snow. lol

Michigan winters have to be worse than NY winters. So good for you! I would do that too lol.
I gather you get Lake Effect Snow? Bad news. If you live anywhere between Buffalo to Syracuse, your winters are worse than MI. You live in the snowiest region in the US.

Dad's family was in Syracuse. He married his second wife there on March 14th. March! I live in Philly. March 14th means the first hint of spring here, plus I've got my winter blood working overtime, so I thought it was safe to wear a sleeveless gown to his wedding and reception. I have never been more wrong in my life.

We drove up the day before, listened to the forecast which told us there might be an occasional snow squall while we were driving through a whiteout blizzard.

We stayed at her brother's house. They say they had an in-ground pool. What for? There was no way those 16 feet of snow would melt before the next winter!

Dad got married at 1 PM. It was 0 degrees!!! We left early to drive six hours home. The weather report said a good day while we were in the exact same "squall" from the day before!

I think Dad was the smartest person in his family. He moved south to balmy South Jersey. I don't care how good the fishing is where you live, the snow makes it not-worth-it! lol

Did you know most Americans measure their snow in inches, not feet? There's plenty of places to live where it's not THAT snowy!

(Have I mentioned I HATE winter? You should hate it more. lol)

I love snow, I think it's so beautiful. It's like God is doing arts and crafts, and and he's sprinkling glitter on the world :D

....You can tell I'm not a driver :p
I love snow too -- just as long as it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over there. lol

Norway and snow equals eye candy...to be somewhere so beautiful means you would be happy to go to school anyway.
