Ok-
I watched a show a moment ago on Primetime that was about a woman named Jaycee Dugard. She was kidnapped at age 11 off the side of the road and taken 120 miles away to her kidnapper's home. Her kidnappers were an elderly man, convicted of being a pedophile and on parole and his wife. Jaycee was stripped naked and handcuffed in a soundproof room in the back yard of this man's house and they kept her there or in a room in their house for 9 years. The man raped her several times and she had 2 kids, both in the back yard. After the 9 years she was put in a tent in the back yard with her two children for another 9. She was found because the man eventually confessed whenever suspicions were raised when he took them out to a college to talk about his religious beliefs (he believed he was chosen to be talked to by demons to change the world).
He was on parole- parole officers had to check his house routinely. The thing that dumbfounds is that SIXTY times parole officers went in and searched the house- but not one thoroughly searched or checked anything out. Jaycee was just in the back yard..
I mean- this drives me crazy. This shouldn't happen. This is just one story of 20,000 kids that are taken every year. And of them, 99% are returned but only half return alive. This shouldn't happen at all.
Thoughts? I'm just dumbfounded and shocked at this. This is a completely true story, she's even wrote a book "A Stolen Life". It's just... wow. I just wanted to see what you all think.

I watched it too! I pre-ordered the book a month ago from Amazon. I was just so amazed how sweet she was, and strong. She had immediate therapy that was excellent. She is just amazing. God bless her. What a love.

I was sitting with my mother Sunday night and we watched that. It was a great witnessing moment. "You know, if there is no God, there is no objective morality, and nothing he did was wrong."
