It's only fitting how he went out. Not a Yankee fan but there was never any controversy with Jeter. Like most people who have watched him have said. He played the game the right way. Baseball still phase some stars that could fill the void for Jester, but it's so rare seeing a player of his caliber do what he did for 20 years with one team for an entire career. In any sport.

he was great, but down here in Georgia, i'm a little irritated that chipper jones did not get all the espn and everywhere else love that jeter
got. they had similar career numbers. the chip deserved better. but then, yanks do not get our passion for college football, so it evens out.
