Just a basic point

In the UK news, this thing about Phillip Schofield is mystifying. So an older man had some consensual encounters with a young man who was over the age of consent. Whatever the moral aspects, no law appears to have been broken, no crime.
So what's the big deal? If that was an older guy and a young woman aged 20, nobody would think anything of it. Just bad judgment. Why does an investigation need conducting? Ok it appears Schofield is not well liked but that is not something criminal either.

Don't know about why an investigation should be conducted by man, but judgement will be issued by God. Read the 1st Chapter or Romans for clarification.

What he did was something old as humanity itself, gave in to base lust, yet nothing illegal. For this he is losing his career. It seems too harsh.

I often wish I could identify as either a 20 year old or retired. But both my aging body and my thin wallet are shockingly closed-minded.

You might want to keep it down though. You do NOT want to get the attention of some members of this forum on this subject.

Ah THAT'S why. I was wondering why it was so generic. Good idea.

It sounds like something that needs investigating at the least. Maybe it will come to nothing. However, he met the kid when he (the kid) was still 15. Then arranged for him to get a job on This Morning. He was having gay affairs behind his wife's back and admits to lying to just about anyone who would listen to him. At the very least he sounds like a general scumbag. This Morning should be glad to be rid of him.

So far he says the boy was 20 when things happened. No idea who else he had affairs with. He lied to everyone but I don't see why he was obliged to tell anyone anyway about his private life.

I bet more comes to light soon, especially from the boy concerned.
