Hi All!

I'm looking for someone who'd be interested in getting on chat together one, two or three mornings a week and partnering with me in doing daily devotions. The idea is we'd both get online in the morning (preferably around 6 or 7am EST Mon, Tue, Wed, possible Fri), check in with each other on private chat to make sure we're cracking open the Word, and then 30 to 45 min (or maybe any hour) later check in again after our devotions are done and before we head off to the rest of the day (re-checkin can be optional). This wouldn't be a bible study since there are plenty of those out there and we wouldn't even need to talk about what we're reading, per se. All this would be is a little accountability to make sure we're getting in the Word and having our personal time with the Lord.

The past 23 years of my life I've been a Christian. So I know how important it is to recharge daily. But for whatever reason it's been one of the hardest things in life to do. I've been trying for years to be consistent but it's always been a challenge. Who's with me on that??? Pursuing an online devotional partner is just another way to encourage someone else and be encouraged to find our nourishment in the bread of life on a regular basis.

Accountability is not stranger to me. If for whatever reason I don't get online when I tell you, the next time we get together I'd appreciate it if you asked me why I wasn't able to make it and give me a little grief if it's a stupid reason (ex. "I overslept" is a stupid reason) or ask me how the situation can be avoided in the future.

I'm a guy so I'd be looking for a spiritually mature adult male who can say with confidence that they can consistently be online at the same time every week, that's all I'm looking for. You could have this devotions thing down pat or you could be struggling like me. If you can only do it once a week, that's fine! Every little bit helps! I'm new to this online chatting site so bear with me, but feel free to add a comment to this post or message me (if that's possible on this site) and we'll put something on the calendar!

In Christ,
NewEnglander
