Many people are driven by materialism. Their desire to acquire becomes the whole goal of their lives. This drive to always want more is based on the misconceptions that having more will make them more happy, more imp. & more secure, but all 3 ideas are untrue. Possessions only provide temporary happiness. Because things do not change, people become bored w/ it and then want newer versions. Self worth and net worth are not the same. Your value is not determined by your valuables, and GOD SAYS THE MOST VALUABLE THINGS IN LIFE ARE NOT THINGS.

The things of this world are to deceive man that he should go away from the Lord. The blessing of the Lord is eternal. He has blessed us with peace and joy. He has blessed us with the Kingdom of God, which is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

The things of the world are sought by the gentiles but we seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and the Lord will take care of the rest of our needs. He is our Father. He cares for every little bird which has the value of two farthings but our value is the precious blood of Jesus Christ, by which we are bought. He knows the number of our hair. He has called us by name, we are His. So definitely He knows
