Do you sound like a robot? Do you tend to have people fall asleep while you're giving a lengthy speech? Then you might just have a monotone voice! It's treatable, but why would you ever want to gain the ability of having an emotional speech pattern. It's too much of a joy to have exactly the same tone of voice when you're happy, mad, sad and tired. I have a monotone voice, and I'm proud of it!lol

I catch so much grief from people around me about my monotone voice. Anyone else have the same problem?

Somewhat, but I've corrected it over time, and I (perhaps only in my perception) seem to have benefited from doing so. People seem more receptive of what I say.

I was told that very same thing (right after someone saw my picture).

I saw somewhere that you could buy a dvd to help lose a monotone voice! I'm insulted.lol I'm glad I don't have to speak in front of people for a living....

Anywho, I had a good laugh at the "gingers unite" thread in the section below with similar threads!

My dad has a very monotone voice, i'm used to hearing it so that doesn't bother me.
