Alright guys another movie review!!!!! This time Netflix did not let me down with its instant streaming. I added a movie called
Daddy's Girl and besides the ending, it was a pretty good flick. Alright here we go.
Daddy's Girl is about a foster child named Jodie who enters a whole new family that love her and she loves them to, to DEATH! Jodie has become very attached to her new foster dad and will not let anyone come between them, not even her foster mother or the social worker. Her ways of "making a better family" are somewhat interesting and very inventive. As you watch this film, you might think that this kid is a "devil child", but perhaps she is just misunderstood and.... oh who am I kidding this girl is coo coo for coa coa puffs (to borrow the line from
Osmosis Jones, lol). This is more of a psychological thriller rather than a horror movie, so don't worry you don't need to keep this lights on for this one.
This film is from the mid 90's (1996) and is rated R, however I couldn't really tell why, I mean yes there was some violence, but no blood was shown, but some intense scenes that included violence were present, so perhaps that is why.
I have always liked psychological thrillers and if it wasn't for the kind of cliff hanger ending then I would have given this film a higher rating, but I would watch it again if I had to.
Daddy's Girl gets a 3 out of 5.
