I have a severe issue with coffee. Ever since i was a little kid waking up is very hard, so i started drinking coffee and it became my addiction. Now if i don't get strong coffee in the morning i freak out and stay tired all day, I have tried the natural energy boosters b6 and b12 but i guess i am imune to them. I want to be able to wake up with out coffee so this morning i tried hanging upside down to get my blood flowing and excercising, it helped a little but didn't quite work. so what are some ideas i can use without costing money? I really need to get off coffee

Tea is a way to wean yourself off of coffee.
Earl Grey morning tea has some kick.
Or you could just go cold turkey,........but that is hard not to relapse.
Then the enemy comes in and condemns you for being 'weak'.
I'd try tea.

I have often heard a lot of people saying that coffee keeps them awake. However, the opposite is true in my case. Even when I make my coffee quite strong (bitter), it doesnt keep me awake or rather doesn't have any effect on me, its like drinking any other drinks (like soda or tea).

Maybe it's God plan for you to wake up slower. Why not try it for a few days and see what happens?

The problem here seems to be you're looking for a quick fix to the situation. If you've trained your body for years, especially pre-teen, to expect something and to become dependent on its effects, then think that going a few days off of it is going to be enough time to see any change is illogical. You have years of dependency on coffee and its going to take time to retrain your body. Don't be in such a rush.
And using other supplements, such as energy shots, really wouldn't help, but would rather just exchange one addiction for another.
B vitamins are for people who have low energy levels in their normal daily lives, and is not meant to balance out the tiredness of coming off of a coffee addiction. Thats like adding gasoline to your car, when you're out of oil and wondering why the car won't run.
I think the tea suggestion is a good idea. Lessen the addiction first, then ween it down. But expect there to be problems until your body learns to readjust.

I gave up caffeine a number of years ago. I am glad I did.

WELL YOU SAY IT STARTED WHEN YOU WERE LITTLE DRINKING COFFEE. YOU MIGHT OF GOT DEPENDENT ON IT TO. A LOT OF PEOPLE DRINK COFFEE TO GET STARTED IN THE AM OR WHEN THERE ON THE PC WORKING TO STAY UP. I LOVE COFFEE, BUT ONLY WITH THE CAFFIENE, KINDS, I DON'T PREFER TO HAVE IT LATE, BUT YOU COULD GO EASY OFF ON IT A LITTLE AT A TIME, IF YOU ENJOY COFFEE AFTER YOU KICK THE CAFFIENE OUT USE THE DE CAFF. IT WILL WORK, WEAN FROM IT SLOWLY. GOD WILL HELP YOU.

I used to drink it just to get over the day but realized my autism and how I get excited was enough to wake me up. I got off it for a long time and had no headaches or anything. But when I tried to drink, I could not eat my lunch at college until I got off it then I could eat it at the right time. Now, I don't drink it and did not suffer any harsh effects from quitting. Plus, for me coffee acted like a diuretic.
