Thought of this thread today and how much your situation is kind of similar to mine. If my current truck does need a new engine i'm looking at $1500. i gotta get a hold of the shop tomorrow and see what's up. I'm honestly tempted to shelf this truck or sell it. I have my eyes on a 92 F150 if my class mate will let go of it. I think i might have a slight vehicle addiction. Just out of curiosity what kind of truck is it that is giving you issues? Random question only a grease monkey in training would care about. lol.

I see. Well hopefully the 92 i'm looking at is good. It's a straight six and those engines should be indestructible. As for the rest of the truck that's debatable. lol.

Yeah. Thing is i need a vehicle and i can't afford anything newer. Then again anything newer than about 2002 i don't really want. Pain in the neck to work on. Also don't look as good. I like my older boxier trucks. This 92 doesn't seem bad and a full size truck would be nice. I'm a big guy 6 foot and 300 pounds so even an extended cab ranger isn't the most comfortable.

Yeah I like my trucks too but I'd tale that 92 to a licenced mechanic and do a full exsprction on it before I bought it
