The following occurred around 2000.
I had been led of God to minister to a man for about 3 months.
One day I went by to see him and he was upstairs at his neighbors place. I usually bought him a meal and talked with him awhile. This time he said he couldn’t go because he was watching his neighbor’s kids. As I was leaving he told me he he had a bad headache, and asked me to pray for him. I put my hands on his head and prayed.
A week later when I dropped by his single room apartment he came running out all excited. He told me that the next morning after I had prayed for him he woke up and found that he could read the Bible he had by his bed. I asked him what he meant. He told me that he’d been trying to read his bible for five years. Every morning he would wake up and try but the words would move on the page and he couldn’t read his bible.
About a month later I was at his friends home in the country and he and I were in the kitchen and everyone else was out back with the kids in the swimming pool. I was teaching him something from scripture and pacing as he sat in a chair. Suddenly he grabbed the back of his next in pain. I walked around the table and placed my hand on his neck rebuking the pain under my breath in Jesus name, while staying on teaching. He violently fell to the floor thrashing, then came up on his knees. He had long hair and a beard and while he was on all fours he looked and growled like a wolf.
One of the kids, a little girl, had just come in to go to the bathroom. She saw him as he stared at her ferral like and heard him growl. She gave a blood curdling scream and bolted out of the house and around back. The man ran out the same door but into a partly wooded area. I went after him thinking it might not be wise of me since he might lie in wait for me. And I couldn’t find him at first. He’d lain down behind bushes as I walked by looking for him. I called his name and he got up and stood in the shadow of a tree in the moonlight.
He said, Help me Joe, and reached out his hands toward me. I was led to not approach him nor take his hands. Instead I told him he needed to come out into the light. When he did I held his hands and began to pray, but he fell to ground clutching his chest in great pain saying, I’m having a heart attack! I’m having a heart attack!
I knew he wasn’t and rebuked the evil spirit.
He fell limp laying on the ground on his back. But then it was as if someone took control of his head and moved it in some strange way into a position facing me. Then his face contorted till it looked saucer eyed with the nose flared, and his mouth contorted into a perfect O. His tongue slowly came out of the center of that O, and was moving like a serpents tongue does.
The devil said to me in an alien sounding voice, You think you are wise, but you don’t know _ _ _ _.
I rebuked the evil spirit in Jesus name and he thrashed around a bit and the evil spirit left.
The people there freaked out and so, I had to leave and take the man home. He sat silently in the back of the car. He didn’t remember, nor did he know what had happened till I told him as I drove. His estranged son in the state of Washington had contacted him recently and he was leaving on a plane the next day to go to Seattle. I got a call from him and his son a year later, he was fine, doing well, got new teeth, and had been holding a job etc
I had, had some previous experience and have used the gift of discerment of spirits. But I’d never seen such a suddenly violent and strange occurrence.
I introduce this topic with my testimony of the incident above, because I’d like discuss the need for deliverance from the attack and control of evil spirits that manifest from time to time.
