So i actually like this idea but I am not sure how it works exactly. Like what group to join or if one can make a group or it's made by mods.
Can anyone explain it to me? I am not exactly tech savy also what do you all think of it?

i like the idea of a little chat box at the bottom of the page, but i have two gripes:

(1) the tab ((i use chrome)) keeps alternating between the title of the thread i have open in it and '
new messages' -- even though i don't have any new messages. see images:

every couple seconds, every CC tab i have open toggles between the thread title and this message message. that's annoying but really a distraction more than anything else. i used to be able to quickly see what tab is what but now i have to wait for '
new messages' to go away before i can read the tab title, and there's not actually any new message..

(2) '
so and so is online' messages are perpetually popping up above the chat tab -- that's not only distracting, but it can be 5 of these notifications all at once, randomly, which hides a part of the page when i'm trying to read a post, or obscures the text when i'm trying to write & format a reply.

maybe i'll just have to get used to it, but i'd really prefer it if the '
someone just opened a page of CC in their browser' alerts could be turned off, and just to take a wild guess, i don't think i'm alone in that ...
