i had this one 'snot nosed' kid

Truly I am always finding used tissues chucked in random places in the library...eww

who sits in the corner of the library, goes on one of the six computer watching yout tube or tik tok videos with the sound on then complains its too noisy in the library. Um hello kid.

I want to get rid of computers and devices in the library altogether but no its a device school and everyone thinks its ok to just watch tv in the library not thinking that maybe it makes NOISE. And not everyone wants to hear it? They can way watch tv elsewhere why do it in the library. aNd why would you watch tv and read a book at the same time, looks like you cant. I never saw anyone do it.

Teachers can be hypocritical too like I could just have a sign that says no noise whatsoever or SILENCE but no what teachers do is yell at everyone to be quiet. lol
Yeah, it's too bad schools are more device oriented instead of hands-on. Or just reading. When I was a kid the library just had books and we sat quietly and read. Times sure have changed.

Ive just banned devices for primary school in the library. However I have made it come from the Principal as a directive for the entire school because otherwise everyone would be arguing with me.

The teens are too far gone though, they cant be saved from their devices. I think there should be a blanket ban and a big rubbish bin at the lobby where everyone can deposit their devices upon entering school

well it was marginally better today at lunch but the year 2s were in no fit state to even be in the library. they were fighting, chasing each other, and just hypo. I think its cos they get rides into school so dont even get any exercise walking to school. Next time Im going to make them run round the playground before they enter the library so the time they get in they be too tired to make any noise.

I couldnt make them run before going to the library as they just come from morning tea and then thy have library and then PE.

The boys were racing around not listening so I told their teacher. If they continue to behave that way I'll just not have any library for them at all and they'll miss out on reading and end up in jail.
