Shavuot/Pentecost 2018 begins (Tomorrow) Saturday, May 19 at sunset & ends ends Monday, May 21 at nightfall

PENTECOST A SHADOW OF THE COMING RAPTURE

During the 1st Pentecost, God visited His people; after their exodus from Egypt & God gave Moses the Law. And Moses brought it down to the people from Mt Sinai.

Ex 19:1 In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.

Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Ex 19:16 (b) There were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount,

Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

Ex 19:11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

Hos 6:2 (B) In the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
(NOTE: We're 18 yrs into the 3rd day right now)

Ex 16:16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and "the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud"

1 Thes 4:16 (B) "the voice of the archangel, and with the trump" of God:

Ex 19:20 (A) And "the LORD came down" upon mount Sinai,

1 Thes 4:16 (A) For the "Lord himself shall descend" from heaven with a shout,

Ex 19:20 (B) The LORD "called Moses up" to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.

1 Thes 1:17 Then we which are alive and remain "shall be caught up" together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:

Ex 19:6 (A) And "ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests", and an holy nation.

Rev 1:6 (A) And "hath made us (His Church) kings and priests" unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

The 7 Feasts (Appointed Times) of the Lord (Lev 23) represent God's Timeline for the Ages:

Paul tells us in Colossians 2:17 that all of these special days (Appointed Times) have been given by God to reveal the Messiah/Christ Jesus to the world as part of God’s great plan for His creation.

"These (feast days) are a "Shadow" of things that were to come. The reality, however, is found in the Lord Jesus Christ

Ex 23: 3 pilgrimage (agricultural) Harvest Feasts! = A "rehearsal" or "recital". For 3 Resurrection Orders = Three Soul Harvests!

John 4:35-44, Jesus makes reference to an eternal soul harvest. John paints the soul harvest picture again: Rev 14:14-15

RESURRECTION ORDER:

All resurrected in his own "order" as seen in (1 Cor 15:24)

Group 1, First Fruits Harvest Passover (Matthew 27:52). This one has already happened!

Group 2, Main Harvest Pentecost. The Church/Body/of Christ (Jew & Gentile) will be Harvested at the Main Harvest Soon very soon!

Group 3, Trumpets-Tabernacles (Gleanings) Harvest (Isa 17:5-6 & Jer 6:9). All believers that die during the trib & are alive at Christs 2nd coming, to include every Jew alive.

Vine's Expository Dictionary: Topic: ORDER

Order Strong's #5001— Noun Neuter — tagma — tag'-mah

a more concrete form of No. 1, signifying "that which has been arranged in order," was especially a military term, denoting "a company;" it is used metaphorically in 1 Corinthians 15:23 of the various classes of those who have part in the first resurrection.

After the rapture christians will find themselves at the Judgment seat of Christ (2 cor 5:10). Here sin is not discussed. Faith placed in Christ's Redemptive Sin Atoning Death, Burial & Resurrection. Pardons ALL of our sins! ALL our sins were nailed to the Cross with Christ.

Pentecost marks the coming/sending of God’s Holy Spirit. Also, Pentecost the largest harvest festival is clearly a shadow of the great soul harvest coming soon.

More Pentecost Shadows:

BOOK OF RUTH
For 3500 yrs the Book of Ruth has been read every Pentecost. The story of Boaz a Kinsman Redeemer. A shadow of Christ & his Bride/Church. Boaz a wealthy landowner of the tribe of Judah. Takes Ruth, a gentile for his wife.

Ruth 3:9 And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: ""spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid"" for thou art a near kinsman.

(NOTE: Spread therefore thy skirt (TALITH) over thine hand maid: This verse is a marriage proposal. When a Jewish man married a woman, he threw the end of his his skirt (TALITH) over her head, covering her, to signify that she was now under his covering/protection. When we say yes to Christ, he seals us with his Holy Spirit of protection)

Rabbinic traditions:

DECORATING THE BRIDE

Another shadow on Pentecost: A time spent tradition called ""decorating the bride"". (The Church is the Bride of Christ) Jews stayed up all night studying Scripture. In the hope that they will receive a special blessing. They believe that God will favorably answer prayer by briefly opening up the heavens and supply a blessing. Sounds like Thess 4:16 to me!

FESTIVAL WITHOUT A DATE

Pentecost is also referred to as "the festival without a date." The reality as originally calculated by the new moon, the Passover and a seven week countdown. So, the actual calender day/date is quite flexible.

Christ is coming soon for his Bride/Church. The date hasn't been fixed, just like Pentecost. Can you say, No one knows the day or hour. Matt 24:36

JUDGMENT OF THE FRUIT OF THE TREES

There is a belief in Jewish tradition that trees are judged by God. A shadow of the Judgment Seat (Bema) of Christ.

Paul gives a picture of the Judgment Seat (Bema) of Christ. 2 Cor 5:10. The fruit of one’s works will be judged & rewarded. No judgment for sin here, Christ was judged & paid for ALL of every believers sins on the cross. (Col 1:14 & Rom 4:7)

Oh LORD, Come quickly!
