Most of us should ask for God's discernment and/or are intelligent enough to know when someone is trying to rip you off, but wanted to put this msg out as a warning. I have recently encountered a user (who has posted a couple threads on this site) who is only looking for ppl to send him money. He masquerades as a Christian in Romania with no job, no money, no friends or family and little food and clothing. There may be (and probably are) others like him on here. The one in question goes under the user name "believer35" and is on my friends list at the moment. That may change after I post this.

I know some Christians mean well and have a soft heart when it comes to people suffering, but others can AND WILL take advantage of that giving spirit. Only saying pls be careful and use discretion when trying to help others. God bless!

P.S.- If you would like me to show msgs between me and this person, I will gladly forward them.

If they're trying to scam you, report them to a mod. The mods will take care of them.

Ok, I wasn't quite sure at first how to report them, as I'm still a little unfamiliar with this site, so I apologize if I went about this the wrong way. But an Administrator has contacted me, so hopefully this will be resolved soon. :)

Yeah, this is actually fairly common on this site. I've seen various reasons for people wanting money... help our orphanage, help pay for my missions, our church wants X to happen, 9/11 fund, tsunami fund, etc... and thats only in about 6 months of being on this site.

They are breaking the christian chat rules when they ask for money here. Tell them to read the chat rules here mainly rule #6 . Never give out any personal information.
