I have four ear piercings in both ears. I only wear the type of earring that you would use to pierce the ears with which I purchase as a beauty supply store. My first ear piercings I will wear hoops and moderate style earrings. At least for me my wearing my earrings this way helps prevent infections because the earrings they use to pierce ears are sterling silver and easy to disinfect. Each one of my ear piercings has a meaning for me. My first one is when I turned 12 years old. My second I had done when I turned 18 yrs old. My third hole is when I became engaged to my husband almost 25 years old. My fourth hole is when I found out that I was pregnant with our first daughter who is 23 yrs old. Strange body piercings and tattoos I don't like and I believe that they are not biblical.

Nope. But they say it has to do with the same reason some Christians don't believe in tattoos.
But like I said I'm not sure about all that. Everyone has their own opinions on the matter.

I wonder if you saw the scripture about the amalekites that were an abomination to God because they wore earrings the men. Also Lev. 19:28 You shall not make any cuts on your body or tattos on yourself. Let me give those a piece of healthy advise. As a nurse, ex nurse now, teens have gotton the tongue rings, belly rings nose rings, many had brain surgery because of the infection they recieved and were brain damaged. There are reasons why the Lord says not to do something. It sounds like your promoting this and even bringing it here as an encouraging thing to do. I wonder how you would feel if one of these people died from septicimia, which is a blood infection, or had the flesh eating bacteria and had to have their limbs amputated. I find you very luke warm. Septicimia causes death, in the weak immuned. Encourage others to brand the Love of God on their Spirit, the flesh is to be crucified, and this kind of encouragment is only a few steps away from someone that could contract blood posioning or amputation of their limbs or death, you don't think about that. The girl who had a tonge ring ended up with the infection spreading and needed brain surgery, that left her crippled.

This thread is about earrings, and I guess it's a more lighthearted thread than some. You are in Ukraine? Well, I have no idea about Ukraine, but in North America only a tiny minority of Christians would try to argue - if at all - that earrings are somehow wrong. People in Scripture wore them. Yes, it's good to put them in hygienically, and there is also a thread about whether the needle or gun method is preferable. Blessings.

I have one earring per earlobe and an upper ear piercing. I've had it for *aaaages* but people rarely notice it as it's usually covered by hair. I'd like to get around to more ear piercings before I feel that I'm too old to get any new piercings done lol!
