Hello everyone! I just wanted to ask how you deal with creative blocks. I think creativity belongs in every aspect of the work place wether it's housework, accounting or songwriting, etc. I happen to work in an environment that needs to have new ideas everyday and I hit a wall of sort. How do you move forward and break through those little blocks?

I sing...hum...pray...take a walk outside and find a new perspective. I talk to strangers...forget about the block and have a conversation and laugh. Then the light bulb flashes at me and back to my creativeness I go.

I mostly pray to The Creator to inspire me with new thoughts, ideas, etc. It works for art.

You might have already done that. But creativity is something you just can't rush. It just comes to you when it comes. Since I don't know what you do, it is hard to give you some ideas. But sometimes it helps to lighten up - think of the silliest thing you can, and then build it into something from that point. Have fun with ideas. The idea is to play. Especially if you get too intense about everything.

I'm not entirely sure how creative I want my accountants to be...

unless my attorneys are equally creative.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to ask how you deal with creative blocks.......I hit a wall of sort. How do you move forward and break through those little blocks?
IMO, there is no solution for a creative block......that day.

It's a wall that can't be broken through by force.
Your imagination / creativity comes when it comes , ......or when you least expect it. ......It could be at 3AM.

I think we just have to be patient and wait it out until something comes along and inspires us.
Relax, read, look around..........something as simple as a table, might get the creative juices flowing.

Forcing yourself into new experiences that you otherwise would never do. doing things spontaneously that are out of character for you.

I hear that lucid dreaming has unlimited potential for creativity but you run a danger of SP/night terrors but I wouldn't know cause I'm too chicken to try and often have nightmares. I've had SP before though and it aint no joke haha. The combination of SP + a nightmare would psychologically ruin me.
