Interesting story about how people are spreading malware that gives access to it's victim's webcams without the victim knowing. The perpetrator then records the person in vulnrable positions and then posts it/shares it online. Best way to prevent this from happening to you is just to cover your webcam with tape and a small peice of paper or a band aid when you arn't using it.Stolen webcam video listed at $1 per female victim, $1 per 100 male victims | Naked Security

I'm not sure what makes me sicker: The fact that people are lacking in integrity, moral conviction, etc. that do this in the first place, or the possibility that Microsoft has built back doors into their operating system, which these perpetrators may have exploited to go about this.

Or black licorice. Ugh! Black licorice taste terrible. :p

Well, I don't really keep my laptop in rooms where anyone seeing me would be a problem :p
Still a spooky thought though. I wonder what makes people do it.

Consider the extremely high but-will-likely-never-be-proved-in-court probability that Microsoft Windows - the OS itself - is spyware... ;)

There can be no doubt that it is malware... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

you can turn your internet connection off if you are watching a DVD in the bath.....

wow if you get an error message like the one listed below, its a RED FLAG that you have been hacked:

  • Don't take your webcam into intimate places, even if an error message tells you your computer needs hot steam to clean its sensor (true story!).

why would anyone strip on camera be it via webcam or in real life?

those kind of videos ALWAYS come back and haunt the person.

some moments DON"T need documentation.

$1 per 100 male victims... that's just 1 penny each.

I'm offended that a video of me in a compromising position is only worth 1 penny.

Wow.

Boy does that make me feel cheap.

Its always had them, And the CIA/NSA loves the dumb people who use windoze.
You just insulted a rather large market. :p

Considering I haven't done gaming in years, I'm strongly considering going back to Linux. I just had so many instability issues with it previously (more with Ubuntu)...

Maybe so, but its true. Anyone that uses windoze has no reason to complain about security issues. its sorta like leaving 10grand on the seat of a car in plain view with the windows down and doors unlocked then crying cause someone stole the money.

I dont use ubuntu. I use Debian.

To harm those suckers who have put themselves in compromising positions, specifically in this sexually raged culture, is quite wicked.
